[☀️] Auras of Calamity
First steps on the map
StepWhen you first join, a cobblestone path runs through the map specifically to guide new players. It leads to the two most important locations: Tomi's Workshop and PERMJSH's Potion Shop. Getting to know both spots early saves a lot of wandering later.
- Follow the path walk along the cobblestone road from your starting point until you reach Tomi's Workshop near the middle of the map.
- Find the Potion Shop the same path also leads to PERMJSH's Potion Shop, where you can craft potions once you have the right materials.
- Pick up items the map spawns a collectible item every 15 to 20 seconds, so keep moving and grab everything you see.
- Collect Stars Stars are the currency used to craft potions at PERMJSH's shop.
Gloves versus potions
TableBoth gloves and potions increase your luck and roll speed, but they work very differently. Gloves are crafted at Tomi's Workshop and stay active as long as you have them equipped. Potions are crafted at PERMJSH's Potion Shop and run out after use.
| Gloves | permanent luck and roll-speed bonus while equipped, crafted at Tomi's Workshop. |
| Potions | temporary luck and roll-speed bonus, crafted at PERMJSH's Potion Shop and consumed on use. |
| Crafting materials | items like Vivalesce and Exotic Essence are found around the map and are required to craft potions. |
| Storage | your aura collection has no storage cap, so you can hold as many auras of any kind as you want without worrying about space. |
How aura rarity changes the experience
TipsAs of the MEM 10-3 update there are 391 auras in the game, split across permanent, event-exclusive, quest-exclusive, and other categories.
- Any aura with a rarity above 1 in 1,000 triggers a unique cutscene and posts a message to the server chat.
- Auras rarer than 1 in 10,000 get an even grander cutscene that involves a star.
- Auras rarer than 1 in 99,999,999 trigger a personalised cutscene, broadcast a global message, turn every other player's screen black and white, and get posted to the game's Discord server.
- Some auras only appear in a specific biome or weather — rolling in the matching environment raises your chances through the Breakthrough system.
- BREAK REALITY cannot be rolled normally at all; you must use a Distorted Corivicere to make it rollable.
- Glitch is only rollable when the Void biome is active and cannot appear in any other biome.
Discoverables and the badges they unlock
CheckDiscoverables are hidden items and locations spread around the map. Collecting them in batches unlocks badges. The Secret Library contains a hidden trapdoor called the Unseen Dungeon.
- Collect 3 discoverables to earn the Beginner Collector badge.
- Collect 8 discoverables to earn the Experimented Traveler badge.
- Collect 20 discoverables to earn the Unknown Visitor badge the hidden trapdoor inside the Secret Library counts toward this total.
- Collect 35 discoverables to earn the Master of Discoverables badge, the current final goal for exploration.
Other badges worth knowing
TipsBadges in Auras of Calamity track a range of activities, from story progression to rare sightings. Some are tied to owning specific auras, and a few require you to be in the same server as a developer or the founder.
- Story progression badges — The Beginning, The Trilogy Starts, Point of No Return, and Crowned Chalice mark how far along the game's story you have gone.
- Find the image of the Wyrm's stare somewhere on the map to earn Soul-Piercing Stare.
- Retrieve the star in the far unknown world to earn Calamity Star.
- Being in a server with Salvation, the founder, awards Guided to Salvation; being in a server with any developer awards Hammer in Sight.
- The badges Received the Present, A Message To Heart, You're Welcome, and Grateful are each tied to owning a specific corresponding aura.
Redeem codes
WarnCodes give out rewards such as Stars and potions. Expired codes produce no reward, and some codes can only be redeemed a set number of times across all players before they stop working.

Common questions
FAQDo I ever run out of space for auras?
No — your aura storage is infinite from the start. You can hold thousands of copies of the same aura or try to collect every aura in the game without ever hitting a cap.
How do I get BREAK REALITY?
You cannot roll it through normal means. Use a Distorted Corivicere, and BREAK REALITY will become part of the roll pool. It is currently the second rarest obtainable aura in the game.
Where do I get crafting materials?
Some materials like Vivalesce and Exotic Essence spawn on the map and can be picked up the same way you collect Stars. Others are earned by completing quests.
