Getting started in Descendants RP

Step

In short Picking a morph and walking the whole map right away gives you the strongest start.

The moment you load in, you automatically earn the Welcome to Descendants Roleplay! badge, so there is nothing special you need to do for that one. From there, your two immediate jobs are choosing a morph and getting familiar with the layout. The map is built with references scattered throughout, so exploring every corner early pays off later when you are hunting secrets.

Pick a morph choose whichever character you want to play as.
Walk the whole map references and clues are placed all around, so do not rush straight to one area.
Invite friends the game supports up to thirteen players per server, so roleplaying with others is fully intended.

Completing the Descendants Obby

Tips

In short Finishing the obby course unlocks a badge, and you can retry as many times as you need.

The obby is a standalone obstacle course. Reaching the end triggers the Descendants Obby badge immediately. There is no penalty for failing a run, so keep attempting until you make it through.

Tips worth knowing

You earn the badge the instant you reach the finish — there is no extra step after crossing it.
You do not need anyone else with you; the obby can be done completely solo.

Finding the Secret Gem of Wonderland

In short The hidden gem sits somewhere in the Wonderland area, and finding it is what earns you the Secret Gem of Wonderland badge.

The Wicked Wonderland update added new secrets alongside the new locations, so there are more hiding spots than the original map had.

Focus your search on the Wonderland area specifically that is where the gem is placed.
The update also added brand-new secrets separate from the gem, so note anything you discover even if it is not the gem itself.

What the Wicked Wonderland update added

Is Descendants RP an official Disney game?

It is not. The game is made by fans and is not affiliated with Disney in any way. The developers themselves state this clearly.

How do I get the Meet the Creator badge?

You have to end up in the same server as the developer, whose username is Descendants_Roleplay. Because server matchmaking is random, there is no reliable way to make this happen — it comes down to luck.

Where exactly is the Secret Gem of Wonderland?

It is hidden somewhere within the Wonderland area of the map.
