01

Getting your first site live

Step
In short Creating and publishing a site is the single action that unlocks almost every other part of the game.

Everything in CatWeb starts in the Editor. Once you have something built, publishing it lets other players find and visit it, which is what drives the badge progression.

  1. Open the Editor build your first site however you like; finishing it earns the Site Creation badge immediately.
  2. Pick a domain name choose something unique before you publish so other players have a direct address to reach you.
  3. Publish your site only published sites can receive visits, and visits are what unlock the milestone badges.
  4. Share your domain tell friends your address so they can visit right away and get you started on the visit count ladder.

Ways to grow your visit count

Tips
In short Sharing your domain and being active in the community are the main levers for increasing visits.

Visits only go up when real players land on your site.

Tips worth knowing
  • Share your domain name directly with friends so they can reach your site without searching for it.
  • Visit other players' sites yourself — you earn the Site Visiting badge.
  • Bookmark sites you like so you can revisit them quickly.
  • Share and promote your website to earn Milestone badges as it grows in visits and popularity.
  • Discover, explore and share websites created by other people.
04

Building with friends

Tips
In short Real-time co-op lets you build and script together.

CatWeb supports live collaboration, so you and your friends can work on the same site simultaneously. Scripting is part of that shared workflow.

Tips worth knowing
  • Collaborate with friends to build and script websites together in real time.
  • Use scripts to add interactivity, logic, and dynamic features.
05

Badges you earn by just playing long enough

Check
In short Two badges are tied entirely to how long you have had an account, not to anything you build.

These are the only badges where your site quality does not matter at all.

  • First Anniversary badge unlocks after you have been on CatWeb for one full year.
  • Second Anniversary badge unlocks after two years on CatWeb.
06

Things to know before you start

Warn
In short A few rules of the game catch new players off guard, so check these before you publish.

None of these are major obstacles, but knowing them upfront saves confusion.

Worth watching out for
Your .rbx domain only works inside CatWeb it does not exist on the real internet, so do not expect to share it outside Roblox.
The Site Creation badge triggers when you create a site, but visit badges only count after you publish and real players actually land on your page.
