Choosing a faction and getting your bearings
StepThe first thing the game shows you is a faction selection screen. Every player who picks the same faction becomes your teammate, and everyone in any other faction is your enemy. Once you drop into the map, take a moment to look around — note the terrain near your spawn and where your faction's base sits. Use the map chat to get in touch with nearby allies rather than heading out alone.
- Pick a faction if you want to play with a friend, agree on the same faction beforehand.
- Scan the area around your spawn spot nearby facilities and terrain before you move.
- Find allies use map chat or radio to share your position and get coordinated.
- Locate your base identify where your faction's headquarters is and start moving toward it.

Vehicles on the map
TableArmored vehicles, helicopters, and airplanes are placed at bases and designated areas, and any player can board them. Each one handles differently, so read any in-game instructions before you take off. Helicopters and airplanes are the hardest to fly, so get some practice in a safe spot before taking them into a fight. When a vehicle is destroyed it eventually respawns at the base, so you never permanently lose one. Multiple players can share one vehicle, splitting into a driver and a gunner.
| Armored vehicle | easiest to handle and suited to team movement across the map. |
| Helicopter | suited to aerial scouting and attacking from above. |
| Airplane | fastest option, best used for rapid repositioning at high altitude. |
| Multi-crew vehicle | one player drives while another operates the weapons. |
Weapons and when to use them
TipsThe game provides rifles, sniper rifles, machine guns, and rocket launchers, each built for a different range and situation. A rifle is your most flexible choice and handles mid-range fights well. Sniper rifles let you take out enemies from long range but fire slowly. Machine guns put out a high rate of fire and dominate close-range brawls. Rocket launchers deal wide-area damage and are especially effective at destroying enemy vehicles.
- Rifle — balanced weapon suited to mid-range combat.
- Sniper rifle — eliminates enemies from long range but has a slow rate of fire.
- Machine gun — high rate of fire, strong in close-range fights.
- Rocket launcher — deals wide-area damage and is effective against vehicles.
Capturing and defending territory
CheckThe core goal of Sierra Mexico is territorial control. The map has several strategic points, and occupying one continuously earns your faction score. Enemies will push to take those points back, so you need players watching each one. Controlling several points at the same time is much more powerful than holding just one, but it requires your team to split up and communicate.
- Is at least one teammate watching each point your faction holds?
- Are you using chat to warn allies the moment an enemy approaches a held point?
What to check when you keep getting eliminated
WarnIf you are dying repeatedly, run through these checks before your next respawn. Being away from your teammates is the single most common cause — one player on their own is easy to surround. After that, think about whether the weapon you are carrying actually suits the range and number of enemies you are facing. Finally, consider whether vehicles could help you move faster or add firepower you are currently missing.
Playing without spending Robux
SummarySierra Mexico puts all weapons, vehicles, and bases in front of every player from the moment the game starts, with no paywall. Faction uniforms and accessories change how your character looks but do not affect combat. The difference between newer and experienced players comes down to map knowledge and teamwork, both of which improve with time.
- Weapons all available to every player from the start.
- Vehicles freely accessible at bases and designated areas.
- Uniforms and accessories cosmetic only, no combat effect.
- Player strength determined by experience and coordination, not spending.

Common questions
FAQCan I play solo or do I need a full group?
You can jump in on your own — the game assigns you to a faction automatically. That said, Sierra Mexico is a team game, so staying near your faction's other players and communicating through map chat will make a big difference to how well you do.
How do I play on the same team as a friend?
Agree on a faction before you both join, then select that same faction on the selection screen. Once you are both in, share your positions through chat and move together.
What happens to a vehicle after it gets destroyed?
Destroyed vehicles respawn at the base after some time, so you can use them again. Nothing is permanently lost.
Is the game playable on a phone or tablet?
Yes — Sierra Mexico is compatible with computers, consoles, phones, and tablets.
