KJ Battlegrounds is a fast-paced PvP arena game where up to 22 players fight in the same space, chaining punches, dashes, and blocks into combos to rack up kills. This guide covers the basic controls, how to climb the kill milestones, and how to build kill streaks without dying.

Basic controls

Table

In short Knowing every control before your first fight saves you from dying to something avoidable.

The game supports both keyboard and controller, and every action has a binding on both.

Punch	M1 on keyboard, B on controller

There are six kill-count badges, each a step up from the last. Pick the one just above where you are now and focus on that.

Glossary

M1: The punch input — mouse button or the equivalent key used to throw a basic attack.
Kill streak: A running count of consecutive kills you get without dying once; resets to zero on death.
Ultimate: A powerful special move you can activate in battle; using it once earns the Awakened badge.
Shift Lock: A mode that locks the camera behind your character so you always face the direction you aim.
Leaderboard: A ranking of players by kill count; appearing on it earns the Acknowledged Fighter badge.
PvP: Player versus Player — every opponent you face in the arena is a real person, not a computer.

FAQ

What should I do first when I load in?

Focus on landing one kill to earn the First Blood badge.

How do I unlock the Awakened badge?

Use your ultimate move at least once during a match.

How do I get the Acknowledged Fighter badge?

You need to appear on the kills leaderboard. The Rising Star badge description notes that around 1,000 kills is where leaderboard climbing becomes relevant.

Does dying reset everything?

Your total kill count is permanent and never resets. Your kill streak, however, resets to zero every time you die.
