Left 4 Blox is a Roblox versus zombie game inspired by Left 4 Dead 2. Survivors win by keeping the whole team alive until the timer runs out; the infected win by wiping out every survivor before time is up. This guide covers both sides: how to survive, how to hunt, which weapons to reach for, and how the maps change everything.
In shortKnowing your team's exact win condition before the round starts is the single biggest advantage you can give yourself.
Every match puts you on one of two sides, and they play completely differently. Survivors need every teammate standing when the clock hits zero — one person dying does not end it, but the infected only need to finish everyone off to take the round.
Survivors
stay alive as a full team until the timer expires
Infected
eliminate every survivor before time runs out
Controls
check and remap keybinds in Settings; mobile players can also resize and reposition buttons under Settings > UI
In shortMatch your weapon to the range the situation demands, and always know where the Ammo Crate is.
You carry a primary and a secondary. The right combination covers your weak spots, so think about range before you commit to a loadout.
Tips worth knowing
The AK-47 has 30 rounds per magazine and 360 in reserve — the most ammo of any primary — and handles mid-range fights reliably.
The AK-47 struggles up close, so pair it with a secondary that covers short range.
The Glock-17 holds 17 rounds per magazine with 180 total reserve and is accurate enough to hit targets at range.
The Fire Axe never needs reloading and cuts a Smoker's tongue immediately, freeing a grabbed teammate faster than any gun.
Using the Fire Axe while cornered also frees you from reloading under pressure, but watch for the Tank and Witch — melee alone won't cut it against them.
The Ammo Crate fully restores your magazine and reserves instantly, so use it to skip a reload mid-fight, especially with shotguns.

In shortEach special infected has one clear weakness — exploit it before they exploit you.
Each special infected works differently. Use the column on the right to know exactly what to do the moment you spot one.
Special Infected
What it does
How to counter it as Survivor
Boomer
Vomits bile that stuns you and spawns a common infected horde; explodes on death
Keep your distance and shoot from far away; defend a biled teammate until the stun wears off
Charger
Sprints and tackles a survivor, then pummels them into the ground
Take the high ground; dodge sideways when it charges; punish it during the cooldown after a charge
Hunter
Crouches and leaps onto survivors, pinning them
Stay near teammates so they can pull the Hunter off; listen for the pin callout and shoot it immediately
Smoker
Pulls survivors with its tongue from long range
Hit it with the Fire Axe to cut the tongue instantly; use distance and keep shooting
Jeff (admin only)
Dashes and pins like a Hunter but has 3,000 HP
Stick together — a lone survivor cannot outlast 3,000 HP; in Hide and Seek mode you have no weapons, so avoid him entirely
Boomer horde (Common Infected)
Spawned by Boomer bile or Boomer death; swarms survivors
Watch your back and clear them quickly so special infected cannot exploit the distraction

Crossroads map strategies
Step
In shortOn Crossroads, the first thirty seconds decide the round — get to high ground immediately.
Crossroads is small and wide open, which means every special infected can reach you fast. Survivors spawn in the middle, so the opening seconds are chaotic. Infected should lean hard on specials that pull survivors away from the group.
Rush high groundhead straight for the Playground tower or the top of Thieves' Den mountain the moment you spawn; camping there can carry you to the end of the round.
Watch for Spitters on the Playground toweracid spray makes the platform dangerous to stand on, so keep moving.
On Thieves' Den summit, watch the windows and edges for Smokers pulling you off and Hunters leaping in.
The underground grate inside Blackrock Castle is a riskier hiding spot because infected spawn nearby, but it can work in a pinch.
As Infected, use Smokers to pull survivors through the Blackrock Castle turret windows, and coordinate Jockeys and Chargers to separate targets from the group.

Plank map strategies
Check
In shortPlank has no cover at all, so discipline — distance, formation, and target priority — is your only defense.
Plank is a staff-only map that only appears when a staff member runs a command to enable it. It is an enormous flat board with nothing on it except an Ammo Crate. The two teams take at least fifteen to thirty seconds just to reach the middle, and with no obstacles anywhere, every special infected has a clean line to you.
Form a line with your team so everyone can fire in the same direction without blocking each other.
Prioritize Chargers, Witches, and Tanks firstthey have the most health and close distance fast.
If a special infected rushes you, back away immediately and keep shooting rather than standing your ground.
If you need to visit the Ammo Crate, have teammates cover you while you run back.
Jumping off the edge of the plank sends you back to your spawn areause this to escape a rushing special infected.

Game modes and badges worth knowing
Tips
In shortHide and Seek plays by completely different rules from the standard mode, so know which mode you are in before you commit to a strategy.
Most matches run as standard survivor-versus-infected. Hide and Seek is a separate mode where dying is even easier — one badge notes it is far from easy to survive. In Hide and Seek you have no weapons, so you cannot fight Jeff if he appears. The Juggernaut is a survivor-side event that activates when a survivor is surrounded by infected; there are two variants and you get the badge for encountering either one.
Tips worth knowing
In standard mode, reviving a downed teammate keeps the survivor team's win condition alive.
The Boomer is the only infected that can call a common horde, so killing it from range prevents a horde from spawning on top of you.
The M60 paired with the Overkill Doctrine perk is a recognized loadout combination the developers built a badge around.
Killing a Tank with the Fire Axe is possible and earns a badge — it confirms that melee can take down the heaviest enemy in the game.
The Charger's tackle can hit multiple survivors in one run — the GET BOWLED! badge describes charging toward four victims.
Buying more than 100 medkits in a single intermission is possible and earns a badge.

Vote-kick
Tips
In shortUse the vote-kick command to report disruptive players.
If a player is exploiting or is away from their keyboard, you can start a vote to remove them.
Tips worth knowing
Type /votekick PlayerName, Reason in chat, using exploit or afk as the reason.
There are requirements you need to meet before the command works.

Common questions
FAQ
How do I win as a Survivor?
Your whole team must be alive when the timer hits zero — that is the only condition.
What is the best way to handle a Smoker grabbing a teammate?
Hit the Smoker with the Fire Axe to cut the tongue immediately and free them. If you only have a gun, shoot the Smoker — it will release the grab when it dies.
Can I play Plank in a normal match?
No. Plank only appears when a staff member runs a command to make it available. It will never show up in a regular map vote.
Do skins affect how well I play?
No. Skins change how your character looks but have no effect on stats or abilities.
