First steps when you load in

Step
In short Redeeming a starter code and placing your first towers are the two things to do before anything else.

Before you touch a mission, take a minute to set yourself up properly. There is a code input screen in the game's menu where you can redeem starter codes — codes expire and can only be used once, so do it immediately. After that, focus on placing the towers you already have along the enemy path.

  1. Open the code screen find the code input menu and redeem any active starter codes before they expire.
  2. Place your starting towers put them along the path boxes travel so they start doing damage right away.

Choosing and placing your towers

Tips
In short Knowing what each tower does before you place it saves you from wasting positioning on a wave you are not ready for.

With more than 55 towers available, the choice of what to bring matters as much as where you put things.

Tips worth knowing
  • In co-op play, split tower roles with teammates so your defenses cover more of the path without overlap.
  • Harder difficulty settings demand stronger combinations.
06

Picking the right difficulty

Check
In short Starting at a difficulty you can actually clear is faster progress than struggling at one that is too high.

Box Tower Defense offers more than 12 difficulty settings, which means there is a wide gap between the easiest and hardest modes.

  • Are you clearing the current difficulty without losing? If not, drop one level and practice there.
  • Have you tried bringing in co-op partners? Up to 50 players can join a single room.
