Our Execution Guide: How the game works
About
OverviewOur Execution is a first-person shooter set in a fictional mid-to-late 19th century world, where a mysterious disease has turned victims into waves of infected enemies. You play as a soldier who must cooperate with former enemies to survive. This guide covers how kills, badges, and one-life clears work together so you can make steady progress.

How the game works
SummaryEach match puts up to 20 players against waves of infected. Your two main jobs are racking up kills and surviving certain maps without dying even once. Both feed into the badge system, which is the main way you unlock new classes and regiments.
- Kill count every infected you kill adds to a running total that never resets
- One-life clears some maps require you to reach the end without dying a single time
- LAST STAND mode a wave-defence mode where surviving to high wave numbers is its own goal
- Classes and regiments rewards for hitting badge milestones, not separate progression tracks
- Co-op up to 20 players share a session

Kill milestones and what they unlock
TableEvery kill you land counts toward these thresholds.
| Kills needed | What you unlock | Badge awarded |
|---|---|---|
| 3,000 | Ironclad class | Heart of Steel |
| 10,000 | Republiksgardeinfanterie and 7ème Régiment de Cuirassiers à Pied regiments | Destiny's Bed |
| 12,000 | Required as part of Trample Those Dogs (with other conditions) | Trample Those Dogs (Step 1) |
One-life maps and why they matter
WarnSeveral badges require you to survive a specific map from start to finish without being killed. These clears are prerequisites for the most advanced badges in the game.
Badge order
StepThe badge system is layered. Start with the one-life clears and early kill thresholds, then build toward the harder badges.
- Survive Tegnerwald Forest in one life this earns Ghost Train and opens the path to both Dead Men and Trample Those Dogs
- Survive Garden of Dishonour in one life this earns Vineyard Ventriloquist, another required piece for Trample Those Dogs
- Kill 2,000 infected and hold Ghost Train once both are done, you can attempt the second step of Dead Men
- Dead Men Step 2 while fully infected to the point of no return, kill 12 infected before succumbing; this earns Dead Men and unlocks the 14th Gräbwachter
- Reach 10,000 kills this earns Destiny's Bed and also counts as one half of the 15th Trauersterne requirement
- Reach 12,000 kills, hold all five prerequisite badges, then reach wave 50 on any LAST STAND map all three are needed before Trample Those Dogs unlocks access to every Guard regiment
The Dead Men badge in detail
TipsThis badge has two separate steps and the second one is easy to fail without realising. Make sure Step 1 is fully done before you try Step 2.
- Finish Step 1 completely — 2,000 infected kills and the Ghost Train badge must both be done before Step 2 becomes active
- Wait until infection is at the point of no return before counting your 12 kills
- After 12 kills, let the infection finish you — you must succumb to it
