About

Overview

Knock the Blocks is a two-player Roblox game where one player hurls objects at a Jenga-style tower while the other tries to stay on top and dodge everything coming their way. Roles swap after each round, so you need to be good at both sides. This guide walks you through controls, strategy, and how to get started.

The two roles and how the game works

Table
In short Every match is a back-and-forth between two clearly opposite jobs, and you will play both.

The game always needs exactly two players before it can start. One player takes the Destroyer role and the other stands on the Jenga tower. When a round ends, the roles switch automatically, so both players experience each side repeatedly.

Destroyerlaunches objects at the tower and the player standing on it, trying to knock them off
Towerstands on top of the Jenga-style block tower and dodges everything thrown at them
Round endroles swap automatically, so neither player stays in the same role forever

Playing as the Destroyer

Step
In short Aiming and clicking is straightforward, but mixing up your angles is what makes you hard to dodge.

As the Destroyer, your mouse cursor controls where objects go. Point it at your target and click to launch. Your goal is either to hit the tower player directly or knock enough blocks out from under them that they fall. Because there are multiple objects available, you can keep firing from different positions.

  1. Aim your cursor move your mouse so the cursor points toward the tower player or the blocks beneath them
  2. Click to launch press the left mouse button to throw the object in that direction
  3. Switch objects different objects suit different angles, so try more than one
  4. Change your angle throwing from the same spot every time is easy to read, so vary where you aim
03

Playing on the Tower

Tips
In short Quick movement and reading the tower's changing shape are the two skills that keep you alive.

When you are the tower player, your job is to stay on top while blocks get knocked away beneath you. Use W, A, S, and D — or the arrow keys — to move around. The tower degrades as blocks are destroyed, so the safe ground keeps shrinking. Move early rather than waiting until something is already about to hit you.

Tips worth knowing
  • Use W, A, S, D or the arrow keys to move in any direction across the top of the tower
  • React as soon as you see an object coming, not after it is already close
  • Watch which parts of the tower have been broken away and avoid standing near those gaps
  • Stay away from the edges — falling off ends the round just as surely as getting hit
04

Getting better at both roles

Check
In short Because roles swap every round, improving at both sides is more useful than specialising in just one.

Every round hands you a new role, so weaknesses on either side will cost you. The Destroyer benefits most from unpredictability, while the Tower player needs sharp reactions and awareness of the shrinking platform. Repeated play with the same partner is the fastest way to sharpen both skills.

  • As Destroyer, avoid falling into a predictable throwing rhythm that your opponent can memorise
  • As Tower, practice moving the moment an object appears rather than hesitating

When you cannot find a second player

Warn
In short The game will not start without two players, so your only option is to bring someone with you.

There is no automatic matchmaking that fills the second slot for you. If you join alone, you will simply wait. The most reliable fix is to invite a Roblox friend and have them join the same server at the same time.

Worth watching out for
Joining alone will not start a match the two-player requirement is strict
Invite a friend directly and coordinate so you both enter the game at roughly the same time
