Risky Haul Guide: Minimum requirements to launch your car
About
OverviewRisky Haul is a Roblox driving game where you build a car from individual parts and haul cargo along an infinite road that passes through multiple biomes. The further you drive before selling, the more money you make — but the risks pile up along the way. This guide covers how to build a working car, how to earn currency, and what to expect as you push deeper into the map.

Minimum requirements to launch your car
StepWhen you try to launch, the game checks that a driver seat and an engine are both placed and that every part on your build is connected to the driver seat. If anything fails that check, a warning appears and the launch is blocked. Wheels and fuel blocks are not required to pass the launch check, but without fuel your car will not actually move.
- Place the driver seat this is the control centre; nothing works without it.
- Add at least one engine it is the second mandatory part for launching.
- Check all connections any block that is not linked back to the driver seat will stop the launch.
- Add fuel blocks the basic Fuel block holds 30 units; the Fuel Barrel holds 100 and the Fuel Core holds 300.
- Add wheels without them the car cannot roll even if it launches successfully.
Driver seat placement and steering
TipsWhere you put the driver seat decides which wheels steer. Only wheels that sit in front of the driver seat can turn; wheels behind it cannot. If you push the driver seat all the way to the back, every wheel becomes a steering wheel and the car cannot hold a straight line.
- Put the driver seat in the middle of the build so front wheels steer and rear wheels push.
- Never put the driver seat at the very back — all wheels will try to steer at once and the car will be uncontrollable.
- If the car starts slowing down as you add parts, add more wheels — extra weight needs extra wheels to keep speed up.
- More engines increase top speed but burn through fuel faster.
Cargo, sell zones, and the money formula
TipsEvery sell station lets you offload whatever cargo you are carrying and restock new cargo. The payout follows a fixed formula: the cargo's base value, multiplied by the zone number, multiplied by three, multiplied by any Stud Bux multiplier you have active. Fuel refills are also available at sell stations, though the cost rises the further out you are.
- Wood cargo — base value 10 Stud Bux, free to place.
- Stone cargo — base value 17 Stud Bux, costs 5 Stud Bux.
- Steel cargo — base value 25 Stud Bux, costs 7 Stud Bux.
- Radioactive cargo — base value 30 Stud Bux, costs 10 Stud Bux; stay away from it or it deals about 25 damage per second to you.
- Restock cargo at any sell station — you do not have to carry the same cargo the whole run.
Stud Bux and Stud Tokens
TableBoth currencies come from playing normally, but they are earned differently and spent on different things.
| Stud Bux | earned by selling cargo and through playtime rewards; used to buy most blocks in the shop. |
| Stud Tokens | earned at a rate of one token per 1000 studs of distance driven; used to buy top-tier items. |
| Fuel refills | can be paid for with either Stud Bux or Stud Tokens at any sell station. |
Playtime rewards worth staying logged in for

Biomes, badges, and unlocking new blocks
CheckThe road passes through biomes in sequence: Grasslands, Cave, Tundra, Forest, and City. Arriving at each one earns you a Roblox badge and permanently unlocks that biome's block selection in the shop.
- Reach the Cave biome to unlock cave blocks including the Diesel Engine, Offroad Wheel, and Simple Turret.
- Reach the Tundra biome to unlock the Racing Engine, Racing Wheel, Armored Block, and Co-Op Turret.
- Reach the Forest biome to unlock the Dragster Engine, Fuel Core, Monster Wheel, and Advanced Turret.
- Reach the City biome to unlock the Steering Wheel.
- Check the right wall near the lava entrance for a secret passage that awards a hidden badge.
- Look for The Hatch finding the egg inside it earns its own badge.
Events and when they help you
TipsEvents are server-wide and trigger periodically. Some are pure bonuses; others add hazards.
- The Astral event lowers gravity and adds a 50% earnings multiplier — no hazards.
- The Aurora event also gives a money multiplier and slightly reduced gravity with no hazards.
- The Meteor event doubles earnings but rains meteors that can destroy your car; the first player to reach the crash site can claim magma blocks or a meteor thruster.
- The UFO event spawns UFOs that can lift your car off the ground; a crashed UFO can yield Chroma or Chrono wheels or thrusters.
- If you earn the Touch the Stars badge, you witnessed the Astral event; the Meteor Shower badge means you were caught in a meteor event.
Keeping your car alive — durability and quests
WarnWhen your car smashes through an obstacle, the blocks that made contact lose HP. If a block reaches zero HP it breaks off entirely. Glass blocks and glass-variant blocks have the lowest HP in the game. Armored Blocks have 150 HP and are the toughest option available. Separately, quests give you flat currency rewards just for playing normally.

Common questions
FAQCan I launch without wheels or fuel blocks?
Yes — the launch check only requires a driver seat, an engine, and all parts connected. However, without fuel blocks the car will not actually move after launch.
Where can I use Sandbox mode?
Sandbox is only available in private servers.
Why is my car impossible to steer straight?
The most common cause is placing the driver seat at the very back of the build, which turns all wheels into steering wheels. Move the driver seat toward the middle so only the front wheels steer and the rear wheels provide drive.
Do quests reset, and what do they reward?
The always-available quests — like selling cargo 5 times or placing 200 blocks — reward Stud Bux or Stud Tokens on completion. Limited-time quests tied to events use separate currencies like Candy.
What happens if a meteor hits my car during the Meteor event?
Meteors can destroy blocks on your car if they make direct contact. If you reach the crash site before anyone else, you can collect either magma blocks or a meteor thruster.
