Maps and what happens on each one
TipsThere are four playable maps, each based on real locations from the Verdun region. A fifth map, Chattancourt, is in development.
- Mort Homme has four sectors across the hill. Germany attacks uphill first; if France loses a sector it redeploys further back.
- Mort Homme's terrain is notoriously rough — the hill was lowered by sixteen metres from artillery fire, and one valley sector is contested separately.
- Fort Bois Bourrus sits southwest of Verdun. The fort is heavily reinforced with bomb-proof sections and is difficult to spot from the air due to its earth-covered structures.
- Sacred Way is set near the village of Regret. Germany spawns on the outskirts and pushes through trenches; France starts with stationary tanks at its tent.
- Sacred Way's second sector puts France defending houses on the west side of the village.
- Ornes Ruins is the fourth current map with both factions available.
- Chattancourt is an upcoming map featuring flooded wooden trenches, a broken railway, a small river, and a ruined church.

What the alternate history means for gameplay
SummaryThe game is set in a fictional timeline where Germany refuses the Treaty of Versailles, Kaiser Wilhelm II returns to lead the country, and Germany re-declares war on France on September 12, 1919. The fighting centres on Verdun because it carries enormous symbolic weight for both sides.

- German goal break through French fortifications at Verdun for a decisive victory.
- French goal hold Verdun at all costs; losing it means the entire theatre collapses.
- Alpha status the game is still in active development, so maps, classes, and balance will change.
