How Rakoof's modes escalate

Step
In short Rakoof becomes more dangerous the more damage he takes.

Rakoof starts as a straightforward target, but sustained damage pushes him into special modes.

  1. Nightmare Hour is the second most common mode and activates after significant damage to Rakoof.
  2. After Nightmare Hour activates, Rakoof charges for about 15 seconds before the text 'RUNNING WILL NOT HELP YOU ANYMORE' flashes on screen.
  3. In Hell's Awakening, a core appears on Rakoof's chest, spikes grow on his arms, and part of his face is covered by a rusted mask; he then screams and teleports everyone into a dark asylum.
  4. When Hell's Awakening ends by timer or full HP loss, a 15-second sequence begins in which Rakoof gains an additional 100,000 HP that must be depleted before his core explodes.

Badges worth planning around

Tips
In short Several badges require specific setups or event access, so knowing the conditions ahead of time prevents wasted runs.

The game has 25 badges, many tied to events or difficult combat conditions.

Tips worth knowing
  • BETWEEN TWO ELEMENTS requires defeating three guardians and the final boss of the Summer Event without dying once — changing class counts as a death.
  • MY CHRISTMAS SPIRIT requires completing the Christmas 2025 event without dying at any point during it.
  • INSIDE THE MAYHEM OF THE SPIRIT requires playing the Christmas 2025 event from its very beginning to reach the final battle.
  • SAVIOR and PIECES OF MISERY are listed as not obtainable yet.
  • THE REAL GIFT is earned by finding and using the Santa Hat.
  • Clyde trades candies for the Cursed Sword, Pumpkin Bomb, and Pumpkin Lantern during the Halloween event; completing each trade earns a badge and permanently unlocks that item in Boxie's Shop.

Common questions

FAQ

Why did my points stop saving?

The game only stores up to 90,000 points. Once you reach that ceiling, any further points you earn are not saved.

Where does Hell's Awakening actually take place?

When the mode activates, Rakoof teleports everyone into a dark asylum. There are no hiding spots in this area, and Rakoof is constantly chasing you.

Can I use a forcefield or shield to survive the core explosion at the end of Hell's Awakening?

No. The core explosion specifically bypasses forcefields, support defense items, and shields. Your only way to avoid it is to deal the full 100,000 additional HP within the 15-second countdown before the explosion triggers.

Do I need to be in the game from the start of the Christmas 2025 event to get the badges?

For the INSIDE THE MAYHEM OF THE SPIRIT badge, yes — you must play from the beginning of the event run to reach the final battle.
