Your first steps in Bloxburg

Step
In short Getting a job and furnishing your home with the basics is all you need to get started.

When you first join, a tutorial guide named Tom walks you through the game and stays for 24 hours of play. He points you toward early work, helps you track down a fridge, and gives you construction materials to build a garage. Follow his prompts to learn the core systems quickly, then explore on your own once he leaves.

  1. Earn enough to buy a fridge Tom specifically directs you to Alan the fisherman for early cash
  2. Talk to Tom again after each task he unlocks the next stage of the tutorial
  3. Build a garage with Tom's spare materials once the indoor basics are sorted

Building your house without wasting money

Tips
In short Finish walls and a roof on a small footprint first, then expand the plot gradually as your income grows.

A small finished house beats a large unfinished one every time.

Tips worth knowing
  • Do not place a roof between floors if you are using the Multiple Floors gamepass — it causes gameplay problems
  • Add stairs or an elevator between levels and make sure a hole exists in the ceiling so the upper floors are actually reachable

The Multiple Floors gamepass

Summary
In short Multiple Floors lets you build up to five levels high, but the sixth level has strict limits on what can be placed there.

Without this gamepass your plot is limited to one level. Buying it opens levels two through five. A separate Basements gamepass handles building below ground. The game can become unstable when many plots are running at five floors or more.

  • Default build limit one level without the gamepass
  • Gamepass limit five levels above ground
  • Sixth level accessible by placing items on a top-level roof, but walls, fences, roofs, and floors cannot go there
  • Navigation use the two sidebar arrows to switch which level you are building on
  • Basements covered by a separate gamepass, not this one
05

Roleplay and multiplayer

Tips
In short Bloxburg supports multiplayer including roleplay with friends.

You can invite friends to your plot, visit theirs, or join servers built around a specific roleplay theme. Family roleplay and shop roleplay are common formats.

Tips worth knowing
  • Invite friends to tour your build
  • Join a roleplay server if you want a set scenario like family life or emergency services
  • Turn your home into a restaurant or salon and have friends play customers
  • Use vehicles to drive around town between activities

Common questions

FAQ

My house has multiple floors but I cannot reach the upper level — what is wrong?

You need both a staircase or elevator and a hole in the ceiling of the floor below for the upper level to be accessible. Place the vertical connection first, then cut the ceiling opening, and you should be able to move between floors normally.

What is the highest number of floors I can build on?

With the Multiple Floors gamepass you can build on five levels above ground. A sixth level exists in the sense that items can be placed on a roof at the top level, but walls, fences, roofs, and floors cannot be placed up there.
