How the game works

In short
You clear all 23 stages in order, and getting caught by the warden sends you back to the start of that stage.
Each stage is its own obstacle course built around jumping and climbing. Your only goal is to reach the end of every stage without the warden catching you. There is no skipping — the stages run in a fixed sequence from one to twenty-three.

Getting started

Spend your first few minutes on stage one learning the controls and watching how the warden moves before you try to push forward.
Before anything else, get comfortable with the basic controls. Move with WASD and jump with the spacebar. Once that feels natural, use stage one as a practice ground — it is the right place to figure out jump timing and spot where the warden is looking.

The game lets you spend in-game currency on gear and power-ups that help with your escape. You earn that currency by playing and clearing stages, so you do not need to spend real money to access them. Spending real money is an option that lets you build up currency faster, but the full game is playable without it.
