Natural Disaster Survival Guide: Reading the warning signs before the alert appears
About
OverviewNatural Disaster Survival drops you onto a map and sends one disaster after another at you — floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, meteor showers, and more. Your only job is to still be standing when the round ends, and you earn a survival point for every disaster you outlast. This guide covers how to read the early warning signs, what to do during an earthquake, and how to stop dying in the same spot every round.

Reading the warning signs before the alert appears
CheckA warning card appears at the start of every disaster, but some disasters tip their hand even earlier. Spotting these cues lets you start moving before most other players do. Others give nothing away until the card shows, so sunny or cloudy skies narrow down which disaster is coming.
- Wind soundtrack plays immediately after teleport that means Acid Rain is coming.
- A rocky slanted structure visible right after the round loads that is an Avalanche map.
- A white haze thickening on the horizon Blizzard is approaching.
- A sandy-coloured haze building up Sandstorm is on the way.
- Storm clouds rolling in with wind audio the disaster will be a Thunderstorm, Tornado, or Flash Flood.
- Clear sunny weather with none of the above the disaster is one of: Deadly Virus, Earthquake, Fire, Meteor Shower, Tsunami, or Volcanic Eruption.
Staying alive during an earthquake
TipsThe ground shifts like a conveyor belt and buildings collapse unpredictably, so your biggest threats are falling debris and getting launched outside the map boundary. Lower-end devices can also lag heavily during this disaster, making your character harder to control. Use these habits to stay safe.
- Get out of any building or structure the moment the shaking starts.
- Avoid jumping on fallen debris — landing on moving pieces can fling you off the map entirely.
- Holding jump gives you a little more control over where you drift while the ground is shifting.
- If you find a clear patch with no debris, stay still rather than running around.
- On Party Palace, stand on the ride's pedestal; on Modest Headquarters, use the large green grass patch — both stay anchored and do not move during the quake.
- Avoid using a Balloon during an Earthquake because it can get you flung while airborne; use an Apple instead if you need to heal.
When you keep dying in the same round
CheckIf a particular disaster keeps eliminating you, the cause is almost always one of a short list of fixable mistakes. Go through these checks after a run of losses.
- Are you watching the full screen for the warning card, or only looking at the ground in front of you?
- Is your escape route the shortest path to safety, or are you weaving through obstacles that cost seconds?
- Did you die in exactly the same place as last round? If so, consciously choose a different direction.

Common questions
FAQCan the same disaster happen twice in a row?
No — outside of multi-disaster events, the game will not repeat the same disaster consecutively. So if you just survived a Tornado, the next disaster in that session will be something different.
Why is the earthquake so hard on some devices?
Earthquakes generate a lot of physics activity at once, which can cause lag on lower-end hardware. When the game slows down during a quake, your character becomes harder to steer and easier to fling, so finding an anchored surface to stand on matters even more in that situation.
