Two game modes to know from the start
TableWhen you join the game, you land in a Noob Tower. These are shorter and give you a full 8 minutes to reach the top. A portal beneath the starting platform connects you to Pro Towers, which are longer and harder. You can also go the other way — a white portal in Pro Towers sends you back to Noob Towers.
| Noob Towers | 6 sections, 8-minute timer, up to 100 coins per run |
| Pro Towers | 12 sections, longer climb, accessed via the portal below the Noob Tower starting platform |
| Coin reward | base 100 coins in Noob Towers, doubles to 200 with the Double Coins mutator or game pass, and reaches 300 with both active |
| Private servers | let the owner choose tower length and skip rounds through the settings menu |
| Portal direction | Noob Tower leads to Pro Tower; Pro Tower leads back to Noob Tower |
Coins, gear, and the skill tree
TipsClimbing sections earns you coins and experience. Coins can be spent in the shop on gears and mutators. As you gain experience and level up, you earn skill points that go into the skill tree to upgrade your gears. Maxing out the entire skill tree earns you the Maxed badge and a special effect.
- Spend coins on gears and mutators from the in-game shop.
- Every coin-bought mutator costs 1,230 coins — being in a server where all of them are active at once earns you the Mutated badge.
- Use skill points from levelling up to upgrade gears through the skill tree.
- Filling the entire skill tree earns you the Maxed badge along with the Pink Halo effect.
- Completing a Noob Tower run earns up to 100 coins depending on how high you climbed.
Navigating the Choices section
StepChoices is a light-blue section that splits into three separate paths after a short opening stretch of thin platforms. Two of those paths work fine; one of them does not. Picking the right route here saves time and avoids a dead end.
- Skip ahead jump from the starting platform directly to the third step, bypassing the first two platforms.
- Take the Tower Choice head onto the spiral staircase and hug the outer edge, since the center is a kill part.
- Jump across at mid-tower around halfway up the spiral, leap sideways onto the Square Choice rather than walking all the way to the top.
- Finish on the squares the 14 randomly arranged square platforms of the Square Choice carry you to the end of the section.
- Avoid the Neon Choice the third path ends at a broken unstable block that cannot be crossed under normal conditions, making it a run-ender.
Badges and what they unlock
TableThere are nine obtainable badges in Tower of Hell. Collecting all nine earns you the Purple Halo, except the Certified Beast badge, which gives the Red Halo separately.

| Secret | Play in a secret section | |
| Maxed | Max out every node in the skill tree | Also awards the Pink Halo effect |
| Collector | Collect every effect obtainable from coin boxes | Robux boxes are not required; also awards the Teal Halo |
| Explorer | Touch all sections currently in the game | |
| Saboteur | Complete a specific secret section | |
| Certified Beast | Touch the white door at the top of THE Tower of Hell | Awards the Red Halo instead of the Purple Halo |
Effects, secret sections, and the effect stock
TipsEffects change how your character looks, ranging from simple trails to rare halos. Most come from opening coin-powered loot boxes, but some require clearing secret sections or meeting other special conditions. Since June 8, 2026, a rotating Effect Stock system lets you buy effects directly from the main menu, including the Blue Halo.
- Open coin boxes to get a random effect — Robux boxes are not required for the Collector badge.
- Hunt secret sections for effects that cannot be found in regular boxes.
- Check the Effect Stock in the main menu for effects you can buy outright, including some that were previously hard to obtain.
- Halos are the rarest effects and almost always require a specific badge or a special in-game condition to unlock.
Limited-time events
WarnTower of Hell runs seasonal events that add new secret sections, effects, and sometimes new vanilla sections for a limited window. When an event ends, its secret sections leave public rotation and any effects tied to them become unobtainable. The Seaside Summer event, which ran from August 7 to September 15, 2026, added eight new beach-themed vanilla sections, three new secret sections, and fourteen new effects.
What a VIP server lets you do
CheckVIP server owners have access to a settings menu that is not available in public servers.
- Skip the current round from the settings menu to cycle sections faster.
- Set the number of sections in the tower.
- Lock the in-game shop so other players in the server cannot buy mutators.
- Earn the Newbie and Pro badges in a private server both are obtainable there, not just in public servers.

Common questions
FAQIs there any way to save progress mid-run?
No. Tower of Hell has no checkpoints at all, so falling at any point sends you straight back to the bottom.
How do I get more coins per run?
In Noob Towers, finishing the run earns up to 100 coins based on how high you climbed. The Double Coins game pass or mutator raises that cap to 200, and having both active at the same time raises it to 300.
What does a VIP server let me do that a public server does not?
VIP server owners can open the settings menu to skip rounds, set how many sections the tower has, and lock the in-game shop. These options are not available in public servers.
Is the Neon Choice in the Choices section actually impossible?
Under normal conditions, yes — the path ends at a broken platform that cannot be crossed. It can be completed with a gravity coil or a low gravity mutator, but even then the other two paths in that section are faster.
What do I get for collecting all nine badges?
Collecting all nine earns you the Purple Halo. The Certified Beast badge is the exception — it rewards the Red Halo rather than contributing to the Purple Halo.
