How items spawn, drop, and disappear

Tips
In short Knowing each item's source and timer tells you where to be and when so you never miss something important.

Items in Project JoJo come from four sources: world spawns, the shop, boss drops, and crafting or other special methods. Every item that spawns on the ground despawns after ten minutes, so do not leave valuable pickups sitting around. Cash Bundles despawn in three minutes and Rokakaka Fruits in five, so those need to be grabbed quickly.

Tips worth knowing
  • Stand Arrows spawn on a guaranteed two-minute timer and can also be bought for $3,500.
  • Requiem Arrows drop from Serious Diavolo with a 1-in-3 chance.
  • DIO is guaranteed to drop both DIO's Diary and DIO's Bone every time he is killed — DIO's Diary unlocks Over Heaven evolutions, and DIO's Bone lets you start certain specs.
  • DIO also has a 1-in-9 chance to drop a Rebirth Diary, which lets you swap your current blessing for a new one.
  • Stone Rokakaka Fruit drops guaranteed from Serious Kira and gives you the Rock Human sub-spec, which you need to perform a fusion.
  • Right Eyes drop from Diavolo every time and let you re-roll your trait randomly.

Traits and what they actually change

Table

Every stand or spec rolls a random trait that multiplies three stats: Potency (damage), Speed, and Resilience (defense). You can re-roll randomly with a Right Eye or pick a specific trait with a Spine. Traits carry over through fusions and Requiem or Heaven evolutions, but evolving a spec re-rolls them.

Quests worth doing and where to find them

Check
In short Quests hand out cash and worth percentage that you cannot get as fast any other way, so running them regularly is essential.

Quests are given by NPCs scattered around the map. Most pay out in cash, but the later ones pay in worth percentage. The Jotaro quest chain in particular unlocks crafting options and a Requiem Arrow reward.

  • Anti-Climatic Finisher at the train station kill anything with a punch or basic rush for $50.
  • Ice Invasion near the lake kill 10 Dummies for $50.
  • A Giant Problem under the tree on the right side of the school kill 5 Giant Dummies for $75.
  • Attack on Titans at the far left road kill 3 Titan Dummies for $750.
  • Assault the Titans near the lake greenhouse kill 7 Titan Dummies and earn 10% worth instead of cash.
  • DIO Duel near the railway between the train station and the blue house killing DIO pays $5,000 on the spot plus a $30,000 quest reward, totalling $35,000.
  • Jotaro quest chain five stages ending with killing Diavolo; completing it lets you fuse with a Stone Rokakaka and unlocks Aja Mask crafting at Jotaro.

Bugs that can get you banned

Warn
In short Several glitches are fun to discover but will result in a ban if you use them in a way that affects other players.

Project JoJo has a published list of bannable offenses. Some of these come from bugs that players can trigger intentionally. Knowing which glitches cross the line keeps your account safe.

Worth watching out for
Using the FreezerBurn glitch with Speed King's T move to trap other players indefinitely is bannable.
Abusing the extra cooldown bug on Killer Queen's Sheer Heart Attack or King Crimson's Epitaph is bannable.
Custom pose bugs including pose gliding, making a glide permanent, or activating sub-abilities through the J move — are all bannable.
Infinite Epitaph, which makes the dodge last forever, is bannable.
Spamming Q to create a lag-switch effect and delay your attacks is bannable.
Using any offensive move inside a dimension, including setting up a hand swipe or universe reset before hopping in, is bannable.

Arrow odds at a glance

Summary
In short Requiem Arrows are dramatically better than Stand Arrows for chasing high-tier stands, especially once your Worthiness is high enough to trigger a tier skip.

Stand Arrows and Requiem Arrows use different weight tables. Worthiness above a certain threshold shifts your roll into a higher bracket, removing the lowest tier from the pool entirely.

  • Stand Arrow, Tier 1 (lowest) roughly 42.5% chance with a normal roll
  • Stand Arrow, Tier 8 (highest) roughly 1 in 71,000 with a normal roll
  • Stand Arrow with Worthiness tier skip, Tier 8 roughly 1 in 14,000
  • Requiem Arrow, Tier 5 roughly 66.9%, making it the most common outcome
  • Requiem Arrow, Tier 8 roughly 1 in 2,000 with a normal roll
  • Requiem Arrow with Worthiness tier skip, Tier 8 roughly 1 in 33

Common questions

FAQ

How do I change my trait to something better?

Use a Right Eye to re-roll your trait randomly, or use a Spine to choose exactly which trait you want. Right Eyes drop from Diavolo every kill, while Spines drop from Serious Diavolo. Traits survive fusions and Requiem or Heaven evolutions, but evolving a spec re-rolls your trait back to random.

Can I lose items if I leave them on the ground?

Yes. Most pickupable items despawn after ten minutes if nobody grabs them. Cash Bundles despawn in just three minutes and Rokakaka Fruits in five. Store pickupable items in the Gucci Bag Rohan gives you to keep them safe across the session.

When is the best time to grind for money and items?

Every weekend the game runs a 2x Spawns Event. The DIO Duel quest also pays out $35,000 per kill cycle.

What happens if I use a Rokakaka Fruit by mistake?

It resets your stand, stats, or ability depending on the situation. The Stone Rokakaka Fruit is different — it specifically grants the Rock Human sub-spec and is required for fusions.
