About

Overview

Vesteria is an open-world MMORPG on Roblox where you wake up in a mushroom town after a monster attack and work your way from a nobody to a powerful adventurer. This guide walks you through your first steps in Mushtown, choosing a class, leveling efficiently, tackling dungeons and bosses, and using the player marketplace — everything you need to keep moving forward.

Your first minutes in Mushtown

Step
In short Get your bearings in Mushtown by lighting campfires, learning the controls, and picking up whatever gear you find before pushing toward level 10.

You spawn in Mushtown after the opening cutscene. The town is large, with enemy-roamed outskirts surrounding a central settlement — take time to explore rather than rushing straight to combat. One of the first things you should find is a campfire near the starting area. Pressing C while standing next to one ignites it, and staying close grants a massive boost to both HP and Mana recovery. Keep that in mind whenever you need to heal up cheaply.

  1. Find the campfire press C to light it, then stand near it to recover HP and Mana quickly.
  2. Learn the controls WASD or arrow keys to move, Shift to sprint, Space to jump, F to pick up items (consider rebinding F to W in settings), G to open settings.
  3. Open your inventory press Q or tap the bag icon on the left side of the screen to see your gear, Mushcoins, and Ethyr.
  4. Check your Quest Log press R to see every active, completed, and already-redeemed quest at a glance.
  5. Reach level 10 once you hit it, follow the path out of Mushtown to Nilgarf to meet the Baron and choose your class.

Choosing a class at Nilgarf

Table
In short Pick the class that matches how you want to fight, because your choice shapes every ability you unlock from level 10 onward.

When you reach Nilgarf and speak to the Baron, you pick one of three classes. Each plays very differently, so think about your preferred combat style before committing. At level 30 each class branches into three subclasses, so your early choice also determines which advanced options open up later.

Warriorclose-range fighter with high, reliable damage output
Hunterfast, ranged attacker that keeps distance from enemies
Magemagic-based damage dealer effective against multiple enemies at once

Subclasses at level 30

Summary
In short At level 30 each class splits into three subclasses with their own abilities and playstyles, so start thinking about your direction before you arrive.

When you hit level 30 — whether that comes from grinding in the Nilgarf Sewers or running the Spider Queen's Revenge dungeon — you can visit your faction base and choose a subclass. You keep everything your main class already gave you and add new abilities on top. Damage output depends on how you build your stats and spend skill points, not just on which subclass you pick.

  • Warrior subclasses Paladin, Berserker, Knight
  • Hunter subclasses Assassin, Ranger, Trickster
  • Mage subclasses Cleric, Sorcerer, Warlock

Badges worth aiming for

Tips
In short The game's official badges map out a natural progression from beginner quests all the way to endgame boss fights, so they double as a personal checklist of goals.

Vesteria has fifteen developer-created badges that reflect real milestones. Early ones like Helping Hand push you to engage with the quest system, while late ones like Spider Hero and Mushroom Hero require you to clear Insane-difficulty dungeons.

Tips worth knowing
  • Complete early quests to earn Helping Hand — it is a natural introduction to how the quest system works.
  • Join a faction to unlock The Real Adventure Begins — this is the level 10 class choice milestone.
  • Hunt for a golden chest to earn Treasure Master — golden chests require completing a challenge to reach.
  • Work through the boss list: Rootbeard, the Yeti, the Pirate Captain, Mo Ko Tu Aa, Possum the Devourer, and Chad in Mushroom Grotto each have their own badge.
  • Clear Spider Abyss and Mushtropolis on Insane difficulty for Spider Hero and Mushroom Hero.
  • Reach level 50 a total of twenty times on one slot for the XX badge.

Common questions

FAQ

What should I do first when I start the game?

Work through the quests in Mushtown while fighting nearby enemies to level up. Light campfires whenever you need to recover, and open any chests you find along the way. Your main goal is to reach level 10 so you can head to Nilgarf and choose your class.

Can I change my appearance after I pick it?

You cannot change your character's appearance freely after creation — you need to find a specific NPC later in the game to do so.

How do I make money and get better equipment?

Sell drops from enemies you do not need on the global marketplace to build up currency. Then browse the marketplace for gear upgrades. Chests — especially Bluesteel ones — are also a solid source of better equipment.
