Broken Bones IV Guide: How the game works
About
OverviewBroken Bones IV is a ragdoll physics simulator on Roblox where you jump off cliffs, crash into obstacles, and try to break as many bones as possible. The more bones you break, the more money you earn, which you spend on upgrades that let you break even more.

How the game works
SummaryYou start at the top of a map, jump off, and let the ragdoll physics do the rest. Bones broken during a fall translate directly into money. Spend that money in the upgrade menu to reduce cooldowns, unlock abilities, and reach higher speeds. Levelling up opens new maps and tools.
- Bones broken the main resource; every snap earns money
- Money spent in the upgrade menu to improve your character
- Upgrades unlock abilities and shorten cooldowns
- Level rises as you progress and opens new content
- Ligmatization an extreme injury state tied to the hardest damage combos
- Flight control a stat that makes aerial manoeuvres easier to pull off
Damage strategies that work
TipsRocks and ice surfaces deal extra damage because of their spiky surfaces, so crashing into those breaks more bones. The strategies below range from easy to pull off to ones that need good timing and decent upgrades.
- Crash into rocks or ice rather than open ground — their surfaces break more bones on impact
- Drop into a narrow tunnel and fire Firework or Smackdown at the bottom to rack up huge bone counts in a small space
- Activate Firework just before hitting a rock field to spike your earnings
- When falling fast, trigger Dart then Sprung then Smackdown in sequence and aim for a head-first landing to guarantee Brain Damage and give yourself a shot at Ligmatization
- On Mount Zaquilia, use Firework 2, Dart, and Sprung together when you fling into rocks for extreme bone breaks
- Keep your Helium Balloon active to gain height, then let go and use abilities on the way down for a longer, more damaging fall
Map-specific tips for Mount Zaquilia and Winter Horrorland
CheckMount Zaquilia and Winter Horrorland each have levels numbered within the map. Flight control makes the directions below much easier to follow.
- On Mount Zaquilia Level 9, hit the ice immediately on landing, drain the Helium Balloon, then guide your head into the rocks at the map's far end
- On Mount Zaquilia Level 10, jump and steer with W, A, S, D turn left off the rocky mountain above the tunnel to build speed, then cut right so your head hits the ground
- On Winter Horrorland Level 10, shorten your Revert cooldown as much as possible so you can recover quickly if you get stuck mid-fall
- On Sunken City, look down from height once your Helium Balloon runs out to keep your fall line clean
Late-game: Sugmatization and level 1000 play
WarnOnce you reach level 1000, get Ligmatized during a fall, then open the Perk Menu while you are still airborne. Staying in the air at that point lets bones and money stack rapidly.
Quick reference
SummaryThese are the most useful at-a-glance points from everything above.
- Game type ragdoll physics simulator; break bones to earn money
- Core loop fall, break bones, earn money, buy upgrades, repeat
- Best surfaces rocks and ice deal more damage than flat ground
- Top ability chain Dart, Sprung, Smackdown in sequence for head-first Ligmatization
- Late-game milestone level 1000 unlocks Sugmatization via the Perk Menu

Glossary
Glossary- Ligmatization
- An extreme injury state reached by combining abilities precisely to cause maximum damage, including Brain Damage, in a single fall.
- Sugmatization
- A level 1000 mechanic where opening the Perk Menu while Ligmatized and airborne lets you accumulate bones and money rapidly.
- Ragdoll
- The physics system that makes your character flop and bend unpredictably on impact rather than playing a fixed animation.
- Firework
- An ability activated during a fall for extra impact.
- Helium Balloon
- An ability that lifts your character upward to gain extra height before a fall.
- Revert
- An ability that repositions your character if they get stuck or lose momentum mid-fall.
- Flight control
- A stat that determines how precisely you can steer your character through the air while falling.
- Brain Damage
- A severe injury condition triggered by landing head-first at high speed, often a step toward Ligmatization.
Common questions
FAQHow do I earn money faster?
Hit rocks and ice surfaces instead of open ground, since their spiky surfaces break more bones per fall. Chaining abilities like Firework, Dart, Sprung, and Smackdown together at the right moment multiplies your payout. Spend your earnings on upgrades so each run is more productive.
What should I do if I keep getting stuck mid-fall?
Use the Revert ability to break out of a stuck position and get moving again.
