First steps on Starter Island
StepWhen you load in, you pick a faction. From there, every enemy you kill should be tied to an active quest — without one, kills give almost no experience. Only one quest can be active at a time, so accepting a new one overrides the previous.
- Find the quest NPC talk to them before attacking anyone.
- Redeem codes open the settings menu, select Redeem DLC Code, and enter any codes you have to grab 2x EXP boosts before your first grinding session.
- Avoid knockback moves abilities that knock enemies away from you slow down your grinding pace, so skip them when possible.

Leveling path through the three seas
CheckThe fastest path to the level cap runs through the same loop in each area: accept a quest, kill the required enemies, collect the EXP and Beli, then move to the next zone when the quests stop giving good returns.
- Use a private server for grinding other players can attack you, especially in later areas; free private servers are available.
- Get an Elemental fruit as soon as possible fruits like Light carry a passive that makes lower-level enemies unable to hit you with physical attacks.
- Prioritize Light fruit in the First Sea its flight ability lets you travel between islands quickly and it deals solid damage throughout the First Sea.
- Switch to Buddha in the Second and Third Sea even unawakened Buddha increases your melee range and defense, and awakening it at level 1100 makes both raids and group grinding significantly easier.
- In the Third Sea, grind at Haunted Castle for Bones spending Bones at the Death King gives you a chance at a 2x EXP boost, among other rewards.
Events running now or coming soon. They have fixed dates, so check them first.

Fruit types and which to pick
TableFruits split into three types — Elemental, Natural, and Beast. Eating a new fruit permanently destroys the previous one, so choose carefully before you commit.
| Elemental (Light, Flame, Ice, etc.) | the passive makes lower-level enemies unable to land physical hits on you, making them the best choice from the First Sea well into the Second. |
| Beast / Buddha | increases melee hit range even unawakened, and awakening it boosts defense considerably; the standard pick for raids and group grinding. |
| Natural (Dough, Magma, etc.) | many in this category become top-tier in PvP after awakening, though they lack the physical-immunity passive that Elemental fruits carry. |
| Mythical Beast (Kitsune, Dragon, Tiger) | the rarest fruits in the game with the highest PvP ceiling, but extremely difficult and expensive to obtain. |
Boss fights and raid bosses
TipsBosses sit on islands across all three seas and almost always have a quest attached. Raid Bosses are separate, tougher encounters that sometimes require a team. Both types reward EXP and items on defeat.
- You must deal at least 10% of a boss's total health to receive rewards — in group fights, make sure you land enough hits before the boss goes down.
- Some bosses use Elemental effects, meaning your attacks pass through them unless you have Haki active — this applies to the Magma Admiral, Thunder God, Smoke Admiral, Ice Admiral, Darkbeard, Cake Prince, and Dough King.
- Instinct lets you dodge boss attacks even in situations where an Elemental passive would otherwise make you untouchable.
- Whatever weapon lands the killing blow on a boss is the one that gains Mastery EXP, so switch to the weapon you are training before the boss dies.
- Boss-hop by moving between servers to find one where the boss has already respawned — respawn timers are long, and boss quests pay more EXP and Beli than standard quests.
- Raid Bosses cannot be respawned with the Respawn Bosses game pass, unlike regular bosses.
- Many bosses can be cheesed by baiting them against terrain — the Fishman Lord, for example, can be lured into a pillar so its melee attacks cannot reach you.
Dangerous Sea and Sea Danger Levels
SummaryThe Dangerous Sea is a zone far from the islands where Sea Events and powerful NPCs spawn. A Danger Level indicator appears on your compass when you enter, starting at Level 0 and climbing the further out you go. Each level brings tougher enemies and stronger Rough Sea storms that damage your boat.
- Level 0 / None starter zone, very few threats.
- Level 1 / Low sparse enemies; good for farming Shark Teeth with minimal risk.
- Level 2 / Medium first level where Terrorsharks and Ship Raids can appear; good for Mutant Teeth and Terror Eyes at lower difficulty.
- Level 3 / High Terrorsharks grow stronger; Rough Sea begins here with occasional lightning strikes.
- Level 4 / Extreme end of the recommended solo farm zone; use an awakened Magma or awakened Buddha with matching accessories and Life Leech abilities to survive; the best level for hunting the Shark Anchor.
- Level 5 / Crazy bring three or more players; multiple Sea Events can spawn simultaneously and Terrorsharks become very hard to solo.
- Level 6 / ???? bring six or more players; the only Danger Level where Kitsune Island and Prehistoric Island can spawn; Terrorsharks appear in their strongest form.
When you are stuck or losing
CheckIf enemies feel too strong or your EXP bar barely moves, run through this list before changing anything drastic.
- Check that a quest is active kills without a quest give almost no EXP.
- Check that you have bought Haki (Aura) without it, your attacks pass straight through Elemental-type enemies and some bosses.
- Check your fruit type Natural and Beast fruits do not carry the Elemental physical-immunity passive, so you take full damage from every hit.
Codes and when to use them
TipsDevelopers release codes that give 2x EXP or a free stat reset. You enter them through the settings menu by selecting Redeem DLC Code. Each code works once per account, and 2x EXP durations stack and carry over if you rejoin the server.
- Open the code redemption box through the settings menu and select Redeem DLC Code.
- Stat reset codes let you reallocate all your points for free.
- Each code can only be redeemed once on any given account.

Common questions
FAQI ate a fruit by mistake. Can I get my old one back?
No. Eating a new fruit completely replaces and destroys the previous one with no way to recover it.
Fruits spawn in the map — how long do they last?
A fruit spawns in the map roughly every hour and disappears after 20 minutes if no one picks it up. The Blox Fruits Dealer also restocks a random selection of fruits every four hours.
How do I get to the Second and Third Sea?
The Second Sea requires you to reach around level 700 and complete a specific unlock quest. The Third Sea opens after you hit level 1500 and clear its own unlock quest.
Where do I enter codes?
Open the settings menu in-game and select the Redeem DLC Code option. Each code works once per account.
