Reminiscence Zombies — Six difficulty levels and what they change
About
OverviewReminiscence Zombies is a round-based zombie survival game on Roblox, inspired by the zombie modes from Call of Duty: World at War and the Black Ops series. You fight through endless waves of zombies across a range of maps and difficulty settings, earning XP to level up and prestige. This guide covers how difficulty and progression work, how to survive Zombie Tower, and what the game's badges ask of you.

Six difficulty levels and what they change
TableEvery map lets players vote on a difficulty before the game starts, and the choice affects both how dangerous zombies are and how much XP you earn per kill. Higher difficulties multiply your XP significantly, but the penalties grow sharper too — Knightmare makes fall damage twice as bad and causes you to lose Juggernog after a single hit, while Extreme adds special zombie types on top of everything else.
| Easy | 75% XP, slow and weak zombies |
| Original | 100% XP, the baseline experience |
| Hardened | 150% XP, zombies are faster and tougher |
| Veteran | 200% XP, zombie damage jumps to 125 |
| Knightmare | 300% XP, fall damage doubled and Juggernog lost on a single hit |
| Extreme | 500% XP, massively buffed zombies and special zombie types |
Leveling up and the prestige system
StepThe progression ladder runs from level 1 all the way to level 100, at which point you can prestige and start the climb again. There are ten prestiges in total, with prestige 10 being the final one. Double XP applies to every player on weekends automatically. Zombie Tower gives more XP than most maps, making it a solid grinding spot for newer players.
- Play on weekends double XP applies automatically to all players
- Use Zombie Tower its high zombie volume gives strong XP returns for lower-level players
- Target level 100 that is the threshold required to prestige for the first time
- Push to prestige 10 the game treats this as the final prestige milestone
Surviving Zombie Tower
TipsZombie Tower was added on April 1, 2025. Sprinting, melee attacks, and grenades are all disabled on this map, but every weapon comes with infinite ammo to compensate. You start with a Python and earn points by killing zombies, then spend those points at the in-map shop to upgrade your loadout as you climb. There are 20 floors total, and a 30-minute timer runs during your attempt — while the timer is still active you cannot grab the sword on the pedestal at the top, so rushing is pointless.
- Check behind you regularly — the map frequently sends zombies around your back to catch you off guard
- Do not magdump — even with infinite ammo, constant full-magazine dumps create reload gaps that get you surrounded
- Pick up the Redux Perk for free — it removes hipfire spread on heavy weapons like the MK48 and M60E1, keeping your field of view clear
- Prefer automatic weapons — they put out damage reliably enough to handle groups
Zombie Tower shop weapons in order of cost
TableThe shop is always accessible during your run. Cheaper weapons get you through the early floors, while the expensive options in the 2,000–3,800 point range are what you want heading into the upper floors.
| Redux Perk | 0 points, free perk that removes hipfire spread |
| B23R | 250 points |
| AK-47 | 500 points |
| CC CQB | 750 points |
| MP5 | 1,000 points |
| M4A1 | 1,150 points |
| AUG-A1 | 1,250 points |
| M27 IAR | 1,400 points |
| CZ EVO 3 | 1,500 points |
| MK48 | 2,300 points |
| Remington 870 MCS | 2,600 points |
| Barrett M82A1 | 3,000 points |
| M60E1 | 3,500 points |
| SVU-AS | 3,800 points |
Badge goals worth aiming for
CheckReminiscence Zombies has 24 badges. Some come automatically through leveling and prestige, while others require completing map-specific tasks or surviving deep into a run without ever going down. The no-down requirement on the survival badges is strict — you must start from round 1 and reach the target round in a single unbroken run.
- The no-down rule being knocked out at any point means the survival badge for that run is void and you must restart from round 1
- Veteran survival badge milestones are at rounds 15, 30, 45, and 60
- Knightmare survival badge milestones are at rounds 20, 35, 55, and 80
- On escape maps like Sky Tower and Cheese Cube, the badge requires reaching the top and getting out
- Leveling badges unlock automatically at 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 prestige badges follow at prestige 5 and prestige 10

Common questions
FAQDoes Zombie Tower have a difficulty vote like other maps?
No. As of April 2026, Zombie Tower is the only map in the game that does not give players the option to vote on a difficulty setting.
How many floors does Zombie Tower have, and what is the timer for?
There are 20 floors to climb. A 30-minute timer runs from the start of your attempt, and while it is still counting down you cannot pick up the sword on the pedestal at the top to complete the map's challenge.
What happens if I go down during a Veteran or Knightmare badge run?
The badge requires surviving to the target round without being downed a single time, starting from round 1. If you go down at any point the run does not count and you must start over from round 1.
Is double XP always active, or only sometimes?
Double XP applies to all players on weekends only. It is not a premium feature — everyone gets it automatically.
Where do I enter a gift code?
There is a dedicated code entry screen inside the game. Each code can only be used once per account and has an expiry date.
