Getting into your first round
Step
When you join the game you land in the lobby. From there you choose a map and jump in — the acid starts rising and you need to reach the exit before it catches you.
- Choose a map look around the lobby and pick whichever map you want to try.
- Watch the acid once the round starts the acid rises, so keep moving toward the exit.
- Try Easy-Peasy first there is an easy obby right at spawn that is a good warm-up before the full maps.
Maps and what makes each one different
Tips
The game has a large set of maps, each with a distinct theme and its own badge for completing it. Some hide optional secrets that reward exploration rather than just speed.
- Desert Map — watch for the golden cactus that has a one-in-a-hundred chance of spawning anywhere in the server.
- Lab Map — includes a balcony you can jump down to, and a hidden experiment you can unleash if you go exploring.
- Factory Map — has a conveyor you can reverse and a Cursed Coil you can unlock, which gives a small speed boost but makes you much heavier.
- Fungi Forest — look out for a hidden green mushroom tucked somewhere in the map.
- SpongeBob Map — a pineapple-themed stage.
- City Map and City Map 2.0 — two separate maps with their own completion badges.
- Sewer Map — watch out for rats; getting bitten is its own badge moment.
- Monochrome Map and Dark Fortress — both are on the harder end.
- Complexity Map — completing this one earns you the Unstoppable Escapist badge.
- Fruitiger Slides and Acid Hospital — the two newest maps, added in the most recent update.
Badges worth chasing and how to get them

Clear a map once and you earn its completion badge automatically. The badges below need a specific action — not just finishing the run.

Locking a map as a VIP server owner
StepThis is useful when you want to practice one map repeatedly or run a session with friends on a specific stage.
- Find the red star it sits somewhere in the lobby; click or tap it.
- Type the map name enter the exact map name, character for character.
- Hit Confirm the game checks whether the name is valid.
- Turn Lock Map on click 'Lock Map: ON' to fix that map for all future rounds.
- Fix a bad entry if the name was invalid the setting resets; just start the process again with the correct spelling.
- Access extra commands type ;cmds in chat while you are the server owner to see additional server tools.

- An obstacle course game where you jump across platforms and dodge hazards to reach a goal.
- Acid
- The rising liquid that chases you through every map — touch it and you are out.
- Platform
- A block or surface you stand and jump on as you work your way toward the exit.
- Cursed Coil
- An unlockable item in the Factory Map that gives a slight speed boost but makes your character much heavier, changing how jumps feel.
- VIP Server
- A private server you own where you can lock a specific map and use extra owner commands.
- Badge
- A collectible achievement that appears on your Roblox profile, earned by completing maps or finding secrets.
Common questions
FAQThe Cursed Coil badge says to rejoin if I die — why?
The badge description itself notes that the Cursed Coil sometimes does not carry over after a death, so rejoining the game resets things properly and the item should appear again.
How rare is the golden cactus in the Desert Map?
It has a one-percent chance of spawning in any given server. Touch it to earn the 'A stroke of luck!' badge.
Is Acid Escape! still being updated?
The developer has said the game is a work in progress and that they will keep working on it. The most recent update removed the Christmas lobby theme and added Fruitiger Slides and Acid Hospital.
