Your first steps in the game

Step
In short Open boxes, equip your best hats and weapon right away, and push toward Area 3 as your first major goal.

When you start, your only job is to smash boxes and collect hats. Equipping stronger hats raises your damage, which makes every fight easier. Grab a weapon too — wearing both a hat and a weapon stacks your damage higher than either one alone. Area 3 is the target that unlocks pets.

  1. Smash boxes open as many as you can to build up a pool of hats to choose from.
  2. Equip your strongest hat check what you have after each session and swap in anything with better stats.
  3. Pick up a weapon equip one alongside your hat for an extra damage boost.
  4. Keep pushing to Area 3 that is the unlock point for pets, which help you find stronger hats from boxes.

How coins and gems work

Summary
In short Coins come from breaking boxes and are spent on weapons, while gems scale in value with how many areas you have unlocked.

The game runs on two currencies. Coins drop the moment a box is destroyed, and the amount depends on that box's HP — specifically, the payout equals the box's HP multiplied by 0.4, so a box with 200 HP drops 80 coins. Coins are used to buy weapons. Gems come from opening the Gem Chest, breaking boxes, or redeeming codes, and they are spent on eggs. What makes gems interesting is that their value scales with your progress: the formula doubles the base value for every additional area you have unlocked, so the same gem that pays out 75 in the first area pays out 19,200 by the ninth area, Crystal Cavern.

  • Coins drop from every broken box; payout equals the box's HP times 0.4.
  • Coins spent on buying weapons from the shop.
  • Gems earned from the Gem Chest, boxes, or codes.
  • Gems spent on opening eggs.
  • Gem value scaling doubles with each new area unlocked, so later areas pay out far more per gem.

Locked crates and co-op play

Tips
In short Locked crates need a team, so always be ready to join up with other players when one appears.

Bigger boxes hold rarer items, and locked crates are boxes that cannot be cracked open alone. A locked crate appears every 15 minutes. The reward pool includes powerful items like perks and potions.

Tips worth knowing
  • A locked crate spawns once every 15 minutes.
  • You cannot open a locked crate solo, so recruit at least one other player.
  • Rewards from locked crates include rare items such as perks and potions.
  • Bigger gifts mean rarer loot — team up for locked crates.
05

Pets and perks after Area 3

Check
In short Reaching Area 3 unlocks pets, which improve your chances of finding strong hats, and equipping perks adds powerful effects that change how the game plays.

Once you reach Area 3, hatching pets becomes available. Pets help you pull stronger hats out of boxes. Alongside pets, perks are equippable effects that can do things like spawn extra boxes or smash them for you automatically.

  • Hatch a pet as soon as you reach Area 3 it helps you find stronger hats from boxes.
  • Equip perks they can spawn extra boxes, upgrade them, or smash them for you.
  • Look for perks that spawn or smash extra boxes if you want to open more loot faster.
06

Redeem codes

Step
In short Codes give free coins or gems and can only be used once.

The developers hand out codes periodically. Each code can only be redeemed once per account, and some codes have expiry dates. Coin codes pay out based on your current damage stat — the higher your damage, the bigger the coin reward.

  1. Redeem quickly codes can expire, and each one works only once on your account.
  2. Coin rewards from codes scale with your damage stat higher damage means a bigger payout.
