The core loop from first chop to first paycheck
StepIn short
You only earn money after you ship finished goods by train, so every step before that is just setup.
Everything in Lumber INC flows through the same five actions.
- Grab your axe use it to chop down trees.
- Load the logs move the felled logs onto your truck.
- Drive to the sawmill haul the loaded truck to the sawmill so processing can begin.
- Process into planks and pallets let the sawmill turn the raw logs into finished goods.
- Load the train and ship stack the planks and pallets onto the train and send it off to collect your cash.

Glossary- Log
- A felled tree that you load onto your truck and haul to the sawmill for processing.
- Sawmill
- The factory building that converts raw logs into planks and pallets.
- Plank
- A processed product made from logs at the sawmill, sold by loading it onto the train.
- Pallet
- Another processed product made from logs at the sawmill, also shipped by train for money.
- Logging skill
- An upgradeable ability that increases how fast you chop trees, earned through repeated chopping.
- Tycoon
- A game genre where you build a business from scratch by earning and reinvesting money.
Common questions
FAQWhy am I not earning any money?
Money only comes in after you load finished planks or pallets onto the train and ship them. Complete the full loop — chop, haul, process, ship — every run.
My chopping feels very slow. What should I do?
Keep chopping. Your logging skill levels up through repeated use and directly reduces the time each tree takes to fall.
Do I need to spend real money to make progress?
No. The game is built around earning in-game cash through the chop-haul-process-ship loop, and that loop funds every upgrade.
