First steps on Starter Island
StepWhen you first load in, head straight to the quest NPC on Starter Island and pick up the level-0 quest. Only fight the enemies whose names match exactly what the quest says — similar-looking enemies that have different names will not count toward your total. The moment you hand in a finished quest, accept the next one straight away so you never stop earning experience. Each time you level up, open the stats menu and put your points into your main attack style and defence.
- Talk to the quest NPC pick up the level-0 quest before attacking anything.
- Target matching enemies check that the enemy's name is an exact match to the quest text.
- Hand in and re-accept collect your reward and immediately take the next quest.
- Spend stat points put them into your main attack type and defence right after levelling up.
- Register your spawn before you sail to another island, talk to the spawn NPC so you return there if you die.
Island order through the First Sea
TableThe First Sea has a clear level ladder. Follow the order below and you will reach the Second Sea unlock at level 2250.
| Levels 0–50 | Starter Island, learn the quest loop. |
| Levels 50–250 | Pirates Island, Soldier Island, Shark Island in that order. |
| Levels 250–525 | Chef Ship, Snow Island, Rocks Island. |
| Levels 525–2000 | Sand Kingdom, Sky Island, Bubble Island, Lobby Island, Zombie Island, War Island. |
| Levels 2000–2250 | Fish Land, where the Second Sea unlock quest begins. |
Where to put your stat points
TipsNew players often split points between fruits, swords, and martial arts equally, which leaves every category too low to deal decent damage. Pick one style and invest in it alongside defence. If unlocking a new move requires a certain stat threshold, pour points into your main style until you meet it rather than spreading them around. When enemies are taking too long to kill, add to your main attack; when you keep dying too fast, add to defence.
- Fruit users should prioritise their fruit stat and defence above everything else.
- Sword users should focus sword and defence, nothing else in the early game.
- Martial arts users should put points into fighting and defence.
- Only invest in a secondary stat once you need to meet a specific move requirement.
- Never split points evenly across all three styles during the First Sea.
Finding and choosing a fruit
CheckFruits spawn somewhere on the map every one to two hours and disappear after fifteen minutes. There are three ways to get one: pick it up off the map, buy one from the Black Market, or pull from a key-based gacha. The Black Market stock rotates, so check back later if nothing useful is available. Gacha does not guarantee the fruit you want, so avoid spending all your beli on pulls.
- Does the fruit have area-of-effect attacks? Hitting multiple enemies at once speeds up quests.
- Can it attack from long range? Staying at a distance reduces the damage you take.
- Does it include a movement skill? Getting around the map faster saves real time.
- Is the Black Market stocking something useful right now? If not, come back after the stock rotates.
Buying Haki at the right time
TipsHaki is sold at fixed locations in the First Sea and gives you a meaningful combat edge. Observation Haki helps you spot enemies and dodge attacks more often. Armament Haki strengthens sword and martial arts hits and lets you damage tough opponents more reliably. Neither purchase is mandatory to keep progressing, so buy them when you have the beli.
- Observation Haki — 1,500,000 beli, sold on Sky Island (levels 800–1000).
- Armament Haki — 500,000 beli, sold on Bubble Island (levels 1000–1250).
- Both can be bought later if you move on without enough beli.
Unlocking the Second Sea
StepThe Second Sea does not open automatically when you hit the level requirement. You need to finish a quest that spans several locations. The map drop from the veteran fish-man in Fish Land is not guaranteed, so expect to fight that boss more than once. Once you do cross over, Japan Island is the starting point for the level 2250–3025 range.
- Accept the quest find the NPC behind the large tower on War Island and take the quest.
- Farm the map defeat the veteran fish-man in Fish Land until the map item drops.
- Return the map hand it to the War Island NPC, then speak to them a second time.
- Go to the port travel back to Starter Island's port.
- Finish the unlock speak to the elite pirate near where your boat appears.
- Head to Japan Island this is your first destination once the Second Sea opens.
When you keep getting stuck
WarnBefore you change anything else, check whether your quest is actually active. Kills only count toward the quest counter when a quest is running, and only against the exact enemy named. After that, look at your stats — if points are spread across all three attack types, that is almost certainly the reason your damage feels low. If a boss is too hard to repeat, leave it temporarily and go back to regular enemy quests to build up your level and defence, then return.
Staying safe while you play
WarnNever share your password with anyone, and avoid third-party sites that offer to sell or buy fruits and items. External tools that claim to automate grinding violate the game's rules. When trading with another player, read the trade screen carefully before confirming, and do not let anyone rush you into accepting. If someone in chat is making you uncomfortable, block and report them, then switch servers.

Common questions
FAQWhy are my kills not counting toward my quest?
You need an active quest running before you fight. If the quest counter is not going up, check that the enemy's name is an exact match to the one listed in your quest — similar enemies with different names do not count.
How do I get a fruit?
Fruits spawn on the map every one to two hours and vanish after fifteen minutes. You can also buy one from the Black Market when it has something useful in stock, or try the key-based gacha — though gacha does not guarantee any specific fruit.
Can I reach the level cap without spending Robux?
The level cap is 5450, and beli earned in-game covers both Haki purchases.
I reached level 2250 — why can't I go to the Second Sea?
The Second Sea requires you to complete a quest chain, not just hit the level. Start by accepting the quest from the NPC behind the large tower on War Island, then farm the veteran fish-man in Fish Land for a map item and return it. Finish the remaining steps and you will unlock access.
What is the Conqueror Ability and how do I get it?
There is a 0.1% chance to receive it free the very first time you join the game.
