About

Overview

Sword Blox Online: Rebirth (SBO:R) is an anime-inspired RPG on Roblox where you fight through 19 floors of enemies, bosses, and quests to grow stronger and reach the top. This guide covers how the game works, how to build your character, where to find materials, how quests progress you through floors, and how badge and event equipment fits into your loadout.

How floors and progression work

Step
In short Every floor you clear opens the next one, and clearing the boss is the key gate.

The game starts you on Floor 1 and moves upward through 19 floors. Each floor has its own enemies, quests, and a dungeon with a boss. Defeating the floor boss is what lets you advance. Quests reward EXP and Col, the in-game currency, so running them alongside combat is the fastest way to grow.

  1. Each floor's quest NPCs are placed along the path toward the dungeon.
  2. Clear dungeon quests killing dungeon enemies counts toward several quests at once.
  3. Find the boss room some floors require you to find a hidden entrance or trap room before the boss becomes available.
  4. Kill the floor boss this is the one-time step that unlocks the next floor.
  5. Bosses drop unique crafting materials you will need for blacksmithing on later floors.

Stats that shape your build

Table
In short STR, DEF, and AGI each cap at 500 points and each one drives a different part of your performance.

When you level up you can invest points into three core stats. The effects are precise and stack all the way to 500 points per stat. Equipment adds its own fixed Dexterity and Defense values on top of whatever you invest.

STRadds 0.4% damage per point, reaching 3× base damage at 500; also adds 0.1 base stamina per point for a total of +50 at 500.
DEFraises your damage-reduction multiplier by 0.01 per point, doubling total reduction at 500; each point of equipment Defense reduces incoming hits by 5, with a minimum of 5 damage.
AGIimproves movement speed, dash speed, attack intervals, and stamina all at once; also adds 0.1 base stamina per point for another +50 at 500.
Dexterity (gear stat)found on equipment, not invested directly; each point raises your max HP by 10.
STR + LUK combocombined investment pushes multi-hit chance up to 65%, versus 50% with neither stat invested.
03

Stamina and multi-hit

Tips
In short Stamina feeds every action you take, and reaching Sword Skill 200 opens up multi-hit for most weapon types.

Stamina is not on any piece of equipment — it comes from your level and your stat investments. The base formula is 100 plus your player level multiplied by 5. Maxing STR, AGI, and VIT all to 500 pushes that base up to 250 plus level times 5. Every physical action spends stamina: dashing, jumping, blocking, and attacking all draw from the same pool, with the exact cost depending on your weapon type.

Tips worth knowing
  • Invest in both STR and AGI to add stamina alongside damage and speed.
  • Raise your Sword Skill to 200 to unlock multi-hit on most weapon types — below that threshold the mechanic is not available.
  • Two-handed weapons can proc multi-hit before Skill 200.
  • Dual wield works differently — each sword in your hands carries its own hit detection, giving you a separate form of the multi-hit benefit.
  • Adding LUK on top of STR can raise your multi-hit rate from the base 50% up to a ceiling of 65%.
04

Materials, crafting, and merchants

Check
In short Knowing where each material comes from saves you a lot of aimless grinding.

Materials come from four places: mob and boss drops, ore deposits you mine on specific floors, fishing spots, and merchants. Crafted materials are made at a smithing table using raw drops. Key Items tied to quest progression cannot be traded between players.

  • Check which floor an ore spawns on before going out to mine Iron and Copper are on Floor 2, Gold is on Floors 4 and 14, Silver on Floors 5 and 14, Demonite on Floor 6, and Angels Dust on Floor 14.
  • Target the correct boss for rare drops each boss drops a unique item, such as Illfang's Tooth from Illfang the Kobold Lord or the Kraken's Beak from Karth'uk the Crystal Kraken.
  • Buy consumables from floor merchants Health Potions I through III and Teleport Crystals are sold on Floors 1, 5, 7, 9, 10, 14, and 16; Stamina Crystals become available from Floor 9 onward.
  • Fish on Floors 1 and 2 if you need Raw Trout.
  • Craft ingots at the smithing table raw ores like Iron Ore do not go directly into recipes; you process them into ingots first.
  • During events, look for global event drop currencies such as Seashells in summer or Coal in winter.
05

Quest flow by floor

Tips
In short Each floor's quests build on each other.

Quests come in two types: daily quests that reset after a set cooldown (anywhere from fifteen minutes to sixteen hours), and one-time quests that you complete once and never repeat. Your quest tab in the player menu shows which type each quest is and, for dailies, when it will be available again. Key progression quests — such as entering the boss room or killing the floor boss — are always one-time.

Tips worth knowing
  • Floor 2 — kill Boars and Wolves outside, work into the Kobold dungeon, and finish by defeating Illfang the Kobold Lord.
  • Floor 3 — clear Swamp Cobras and Crocodiles leading to the dungeon, then take down Lord Slug with ten Snails as part of the boss quest.
  • Floor 4 — hunt Sand and Blood Scorpions in the desert, defeat Stallord in the boss room, and unlock the left side of the desert by killing thirty black Scorpions.
  • Floor 5 — push through Wolf and Frost Chaurus encounters to reach the cabin NPC, then defeat X'rphan the White Wyrm.
  • Daily quests reset after a cooldown and are a source of repeatable EXP and Col income.
  • Quest rewards vary — earlier floors give hundreds of EXP and Col per quest, while later floors scale into the thousands.
06

Badge and gamepass equipment

Tips
In short Both badge and gamepass gear scales with your level or skill as you progress, so it stays useful throughout the game rather than becoming obsolete.

Equipment tied to badges or gamepasses is claimed from the Red Haired Merchant on Floor 1. None of it can be traded. Badge armor, shields, and headwear scale up every 5 levels; badge weapons scale up every 5 skill points. Gamepass equipment scales continuously with your level or skill.

Tips worth knowing
  • Weapon scaling tracks your skill in the matching weapon type, so a one-handed badge sword scales with your One Handed skill, not your level.
  • If you have both the Beater Badge and the Beta Tester Badge, your displayed title will be [BEATER], not [BETA PARTICIPANT].
  • Event badges — Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and Valentine's — are re-distributed each year, and owning them lets event weapons auto-scale with your skill level.
  • The Echoes of Aincrad Badge unlocks two cosmetic overlays from the Overlay Merchant on Floor 1, both available at Level 0.
  • Victorious-series weapons from the 25K Likes Badge reach Skill 275, slightly higher than most other badge weapons which cap at Skill 270.

Common questions

FAQ

How do I move to the next floor?

You need to find the dungeon on your current floor and defeat its boss. Boss kills are one-time quests, and completing them is what opens the path forward.

Can I get badge equipment if I missed the original event window?

Most milestone badges — like the likes and visits badges — were only available for 48-hour windows and cannot be obtained now. Event badges such as Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Valentine's are re-distributed each year, so you can still earn those by playing during the matching seasonal event.

Do I need to spend Robux to finish the game?

No. All 19 floors, the leveling system, stat investment, and the core item pool are free to play. Gamepass purchases give you scaling weapons and cosmetic sets, and limited bundles like the Astral Guild set exist, but none of them are required to clear any floor or defeat any boss.
