Before you load in
CheckThe game is built around audio, so low volume will kill a lot of the atmosphere. If you have not played the original Daycare Story, doing that first gives the story more weight. The game also contains scary scenes and flashing lights, so keep that in mind if anyone in your group is sensitive to either.
- Turn your volume up sound is a core part of how this game creates tension
- Play the original Daycare Story first if you have not already
- Gather 6 to 12 friends the game is designed around that group size
- Know that flashing lights appear during the game before you start
- Join the Parwaz Studios group to receive a free in-game toy and pet
How the story unfolds
StepThe game starts calmly — you explore the daycare, play soccer, eat dinner, and go to bed. Then a monster breaks in and everything changes. After the lights go out and come back on, the real danger begins. Eventually you reach an elevator, descend into a mineshaft, ride a minecart past lava and falling rocks, and end up in a rainy forest where you must chop down trees and relight a campfire.
- Explore the daycare look around freely after you arrive and meet Sarah
- Pick a soccer team choose Red or Blue and play until the match ends
- Watch the news broadcast the TV breaks the calm and signals the first monster attack
- Head to the elevator after the second monster attack, Sarah disappears and you go down
- Survive the mineshaft ride the minecart and navigate lava and falling rocks
- Reach the forest and build a fire chop five logs and relight the campfire to progress
The bridge decision and your ending
TableLate in the forest section you reach an unstable bridge and are asked whether to cross it. Your answer sends the group down one of two different paths, each with its own conclusion. There are currently two endings in the game, and the badge list confirms a third secret ending that is not yet available.
| Cross the bridge | you find the monster's lair, discover Sarah is captured, and the monster turns the group into minions, leading to the bad ending |
| Refuse to cross | you go to a cave instead, defeat the monster there, find Sarah, and discover she has the monster's tail, leading to the good ending |
All eight secrets
TipsSecrets are hidden across different parts of the story. Some require deliberate choices, one depends on a rare random spawn, and a few are tied to the campfire section.
- Let the wolf kill you after relighting the campfire to get Secret 1
- Land the killing blow on the wolf that appears after the campfire is lit to get Secret 3
- Chop down all five logs needed to relight the campfire to get Secret 5
- Take the jet minecart when escaping the mineshaft to get Secret 2
- Eat the monster fish near the fish tank — it has a 3% chance to spawn in the daycare — to get Secret 4
- Build a sandcastle in the outdoor field for Secret 6, knock down the painting to the left of the elevator for Secret 7, and win a soccer match with your team for Secret 8
Flashing lights and horror intensity
WarnThe game's own page flags scary scenes and flashing lights as content warnings.
