This is a player-driven roleplay game, not a mission-based one. The mysterious deaths, government cover-ups, and chemical leak in Hawkins are story hooks that you shape yourself rather than quests the game hands you.

- There is no single correct answer to the Hawkins mystery — you and your friends decide what the conspiracy means for your characters.
- Starcourt Mall works well as a meeting point for shopping scenes, casual hangouts, or event staging.
- Walking your dog or running everyday errands are just as valid as chasing the main conspiracy — both build a living town atmosphere.
- When investigating, gather clues from the environment and from other players, then discuss your theories out loud in character.
- You do not need a perfectly written backstory to join; a basic character idea is enough to start.

Boss battle and seasonal events

Special events add boss fights, scavenger hunts, and trick-or-treating on top of the regular roleplay.
The game runs timed events that reward specific badges. Knowing what each one asks of you saves time when an event is live.
- Mind Flayer boss battle wait for the event to begin automatically, or run the command :startboss in a private server to trigger it yourself. Defeating the Shadow Monster earns the True Sight badge.
- Eggo Hunt search Season 5 locations across the map to find all hidden Eggos and earn the Eggo Hunt 2025 badge.
- Halloween trick-or-treat visit all 13 special houses during the Halloween Event to earn the Trick-or-Treat Pro badge.
- Anniversary event log in during the anniversary celebration period to earn the TCOH Anniversary 2026 badge.
