Brookhaven RP is a free-roaming roleplay game set in a fictional city where you own a house, drive vehicles, and play out whatever story you want — there are no quests, no win conditions, and no pressure.
In shortThe map has five distinct property types, and knowing which needs a gamepass saves you a wasted trip.
Every property sits on a numbered plot. Some plots are free, some require a gamepass, and one category — the Landmark — works differently from all the others. You can only hold one property at a time, and swapping triggers a two-minute cooldown before you can claim another. Note that spawning a new house also requires a ten-minute wait; VIP players can skip this wait.
Standard plots
15 free plots out of 21 total; six need the Land Unlocked gamepass (500 Robux), with over 80 house styles to choose from, including homes, roleplay buildings like castles and bunkers, and event houses.
Estate plots
three large plots (North, South, Island) each requiring the Estates Unlocked gamepass (800 Robux); these are bigger than normal houses and include roleplay options such as hotels, prisons, and stadiums.
Apartment plots
plot #6 is free with nine apartment options; plot #7 is the Penthouse plot and requires the Penthouse gamepass, giving compatible apartments an extra floor.
Motel room plots
plots #1–#5 near spawn are free except for one VIP room; useful for short sessions or agency-themed roleplay.
Landmark
the Nuclear Power Plant in the Blackhawk Community near the airport; anyone can claim it, but you cannot lock its doors or ban other players while using it.
In shortA few built-in systems — safes, roommates, fire, and the house-change timer — directly shape how roleplay inside a property plays out.
Brookhaven houses come with several interactive systems beyond just furniture. The permissions system in particular affects who can do what inside your property, and fire can cause real structural damage if you are not careful.
Nearly every home has a hidden wall safe, which is the standard prop for criminal or spy roleplay scenarios.
Many properties also contain hidden rooms, panic bunkers, or escape tunnels.
Adding someone as a Roommate gives them full access to interior animations, locks, and the vehicle garage; Family members get these permissions automatically and bypass ban settings.
Fires can start naturally if you leave a fireplace, stove, or grill running unattendedthey can also be triggered deliberately with the Disaster Pack gamepass.
Secrets and Easter eggs are intentionally placed only in free houses, so all players can find them regardless of gamepasses.
Swapping to a different house or giving up your plot starts a two-minute cooldown, so plan before you change properties.

In shortFour pets are free from day one; the rest unlock with the House Pets gamepass, and the Adoption Center connects directly to the Pet Hospital for extended roleplay.
Pets follow your character around the map and respond to several interactions. You adopt them at the Pet Adoption Center on the corner of Maple Drive — look for the red paw prints on the exterior. A door at the back of the center connects straight through to the Pet Hospital, making veterinary roleplay easy to set up.
Tips worth knowing
Four breeds are free: the Beaglet dog, Tabby cat, Domestic Shorthair cat, and Border Collie dog.
Seven more breeds — including a Shiba Inu, German Shepherd, Dachshund, Bengal cat, Golden Retriever, Turtle, and Belgian Hare bunny — require the House Pets gamepass.
You can carry a pet, feed it, pet it on the head, or tell it to stay in one spot.
A pet's name and name colour can both be changed from the sidebar UI.
Dogs bark and cats meow at random while idle, which adds atmosphere to home roleplay scenes without any input from you.

Private server controls
Summary
In shortPrivate servers give you admin tools that make long-term builds and managed roleplay sessions far more practical.
A private server lets you run Brookhaven with a full set of management tools that are not available in public sessions. These cover everything from prop storage to weather control.
Prop saving props you place stay saved between sessions instead of resetting.
House wait time no cooldown when changing houses, unlike the two-minute wait in public servers.
Vehicle slots you can spawn up to three vehicles at once, and the overall prop limit is also increased.
Weather and time set the time of day by the hour, choose the day of the week, speed up time, and change weather and lighting to match your scene.
Player management assign admins, kick or temp-ban players, check prop owners, and control server-wide music, announcements, and server theme.
Freecam PC players can activate a detached camera with Shift+P for screenshots or cinematic shots.

Gamepasses and the Watch Ads option
Tips
In shortEverything core to Brookhaven is free; gamepasses expand your options, and the Watch Ads system lets you try paid features temporarily at no cost.
Brookhaven is fully playable without spending any Robux. Houses, vehicles, jobs, emotes, and exploration are all free. Paid gamepasses add larger estates, extra vehicle types, music playback, speed upgrades, decorative name effects, and more. If you want to try a paid feature before buying, the Watch Ads for Rewards system unlocks selected gamepass features for ten or thirty minutes after you watch an ad. Always check with a parent or guardian before spending Robux.
Tips worth knowing
Land Unlocked (500 Robux) opens six otherwise locked standard plots, including the Lake House, Eagle View, Gold Ranch, Lake Side, Hidden Valley, and Paradise Island.
Estates Unlocked (800 Robux) gives access to the three estate plots with large luxury and roleplay properties.
VIP lets you skip the ten-minute house-spawn wait and adds animated name effects like Flash and Gradient to your character bio.
Music Unlocked lets you play music in your home or vehicle; when Roblox removed Music IDs, owners received over 100 built-in song options as compensation.
Watch Ads for Rewards lets free players temporarily access houses, vehicles, speed upgrades, and other gamepass features — no purchase needed.

Common questions
FAQ
Is there anything to win or finish in Brookhaven RP?
There are no quests, win conditions, or endings.
Can I play without spending any Robux?
Yes. Houses, vehicles, job roleplay, emotes, and exploration are all free. Gamepasses expand your options — bigger estates, extra vehicle types, music playback, more decoration tools — but none of them are required to enjoy the game. Always check with a parent or guardian before spending.
What is the Land Unlocked gamepass for?
It opens six standard plots that are otherwise locked, including the Lake House, Eagle View on the hill, Gold Ranch, Lake Side, Hidden Valley under the mountain, and Paradise Island in the northern ocean. If you only want a free plot, there are fifteen available without it.
Why do I have to wait before claiming a new house?
Giving up a property or swapping to a different house starts a two-minute cooldown in public servers before you can claim another. Spawning a completely new house also has a ten-minute wait, though VIP players can skip it. Private servers remove the house-change wait entirely.
Where do I get a pet?
Head to the Pet Adoption Center on the corner of Maple Drive — the building has red paw prints outside. Four breeds are free: the Beaglet, Tabby, Domestic Shorthair, and Border Collie. The remaining seven breeds need the House Pets gamepass.
