Building a team that can handle anything
TipsEnemies grow stronger as you move through the story, so relying on one Doodle will leave you stuck. Spread experience across three or four Doodles and make sure they cover different types so you always have a good matchup. Trading with other players is a real option if you need a type you cannot find in the wild.
- Aim for three to four Doodles on your team, not just one powerhouse.
- Pick Doodles of different types so you are never stuck with a bad matchup.
- Use the trade feature to fill gaps in your team.

How chaining works and why it matters
SummaryA chain grows every time you knock out the same species of Doodle in a row. Catching any Doodle without a Chain Capsule, or knocking out a different species before your chain hits 50, breaks it. Once your chain reaches 50, defeating other wild Doodles no longer breaks it. Your chain survives between sessions, so you do not lose progress by logging out.
- Chain type knocking out the same Doodle species repeatedly
- Chain Ticket adds 10 or 50 to a normal chain, or 1/5 to a legendary chain
- Chain Capsule lets you catch the chained Doodle without breaking the chain
- Chain Preserver saves your chain so you can pause progress without risk
- Encounter rate boost kicks in every 10 knockouts, capping at 50% (60% with the Hunter ability)
- Friend chaining being in the same server as a Roblox friend chaining the same Doodle adds 0.5 to your count per their knockout, up to 200 times per day (250 for premium players)
Keys and story progress
CheckThe main story sends you through a series of regions, and clearing each one rewards a Key. If you are stuck, check which Key you are missing to figure out exactly where you need to go next.
- Thunderstorm Key earned cleared the island in the clouds.
- Tasty Key earned helped von Sweetsvile through his region.
- Book Key earned stopped Zavier's plans in his area.
- Miracle Key earned saved the Oasis.
- Frigid Key earned rescued Anna from the Shadow Clan.
- Torch Key still coming the Ambasa City arc has not released yet.
Dungeons — the Doodle War mode
TipsAccess Dungeons through November at the Runic Island Gateway. You pick a starting Doodle — either your story starter or an early-game option — then choose from three randomly offered Doodles to fill out your team. Every run is different because those offered Doodles can have altered moves, boosted stats, or mutations. Score earned during a run converts to Dungeon Gold at the end, and you spend that Gold on items before your next run.
- Unlocking starter options — defeat bosses using Doodles you have not unlocked yet to add them to your Dungeon pool.
- Taking a random Doodle offer — if none of the three choices look good, picking the random one nets you a bonus 2,500 dungeon coins.
- Encountering Banks — accepting his money offer gives you coins plus 500 score; declining skips the coins but hands you 9,000 score instead.
- Encountering Elder Covet — trading a Doodle to him gets you a trinket and 500 score, but you permanently lose that Doodle for the run.
- Encountering Chance — the 20 luck boost comes at the cost of half your whole team's HP.
- Dungeon Gold spending — items bought with Gold are usable at the start of your next run, and harder difficulties cap how many you can buy.

Common questions
FAQHow do I stop my chain from breaking?
Only knock out the same Doodle species and avoid catching anything without a Chain Capsule. Once your chain hits 50, defeating other wild Doodles will no longer break it. You can also use a Chain Preserver if you need to step away.
Is it worth accepting every Dungeon event offer?
It depends on the offer. Accepting Banks always gives coins and 500 score, while declining gives 9,000 score with no coins. Chance gives a 20 luck boost but cuts everyone's HP in half.
