Every game moves from team play to solo play, ending when one player outlasts everyone else.
A full game of Outlaster moves through several stages. First you compete in team challenges, then solo challenges, and eventually a final vote decides the winner. Getting eliminated along the way is part of the game — you can always start a new one.
- Compete in team challenges win together to keep your group safe from elimination votes.
- Reach the finale making it to the final stage means you have a real shot at winning.
- Win the last vote the remaining players cast votes at the end, and the player who earns all of them achieves a Perfect Victory.

Advantages and how to use them

Finding and playing advantages at the right moment can shift control of the vote entirely in your favour.
Advantages are hidden in the map and can dramatically change how eliminations play out. Finding a hint comes first, then locating the advantage itself. The game tracks several types — Safety Advantage, Super Safety Advantage, Vote Steal, Elimination Exit, Vote Block, Safety Block, Fake Safety, Extra Vote, and Vote View — so there is more than one way to gain an edge. Using two advantages in a single game earns you the Stacked badge, and playing two during one elimination earns Double Damage.
Tips worth knowing
- Grab a hint before committing to one area, since the hint points you toward where the advantage actually is.
- If you hold two advantages at once, consider whether using both in the same elimination is worth burning your entire supply.
- Voice chat is enabled, so you can coordinate with teammates during the team phase.

Staying in the majority vote every round is what separates players who reach the finale from those who leave early.
The voting ceremony is where players are eliminated. The badges for Mastermind, Spotless Record, and Perfect Victory together describe the ideal game: every vote you cast lands, no vote is ever cast against you, and you win with unanimous support at the end.

Badge milestones worth chasing

Several badges unlock cosmetic rewards, so knowing what triggers them gives you a clear goal each session.
Most badges are earned naturally as you play, but a few unlock items you can equip.
- First win earns the Outlaster badge and unlocks the Winner Torch.
- Five wins earns All Star and unlocks the All Star Torch.
- Winning every team challenge in a single game and reaching the finale earns Champion and unlocks the Team Necklace.
- Winning every solo challenge in a single game without exception earns Soloist and unlocks the Solo Necklace.
- Winning every single challenge, both team and solo, in one game earns Invincible and unlocks the Invincible Necklace.
- Reaching 50 total wins earns Royalty, which the developers describe as deserving a throne.
