Difficulty levels

All difficulty levels are available without spending anything. Higher difficulties make the mutant faster and better at searching the map, which means your hiding spots need to be chosen more carefully and your decisions need to come faster.
- Low difficulty gives you the most time to think and the slowest-moving mutant.
- Medium difficulty speeds the mutant up, so your hiding spot decisions need to be quicker.
Advanced escape techniques
Tips
Once you know the stage, you can use its structure to slow the mutant down rather than just fleeing in panic.
- Route yourself through narrow passages when the mutant is chasing you — it loses ground in tight spaces.
- Run in the opposite direction from where the mutant came — you gain the most distance that way.
- After breaking line of sight, stay put rather than moving again; unnecessary movement risks being spotted.
- When more than one threat is active, escape one before worrying about the other.
