First things to do when you load in

In short
Joining the group gives your base a head start.
Two quick actions before you place a single building will put you ahead of players who skip them. The group join is free and the cash bonus applies immediately.
- Join the group like the game and join the official group to collect the +2,500 starting cash boost right away.
- Pick your character choose from Sonic, Shadow, Silver, Knuckles, Tails, or others; base-building rules are the same for all of them.

Balancing income and defense

Leaning too hard on either income or defense leaves a gap for opponents.
Your base has two categories of structure: ones that generate cash over time and ones that protect you from attacks.

| Defense buildings | absorb enemy attacks and keep your base standing longer. |
| Mixed layout | splitting upgrades between both types makes your base harder to shut down. |
