About

Overview

Ultimate Driving is an open-world Roblox driving game where you collect cars, drive to earn credits, race other players, and take on jobs as a trucker, bus driver, or emergency responder. This guide walks you through your first session, how to earn credits efficiently, what jobs and races offer, and a few things worth knowing before you sink serious time into it.

Your first session

Step
In short Getting through the first-time setup takes only a few minutes, and you start with 100,000 credits already in your pocket.

Brand-new players load into a dealership screen with five free starter vehicles to pick from. If none of them appeal to you, there is also a randomly assigned premium vehicle available for 399 Robux, which comes with a 100,000-credit bonus to soften the cost. After choosing, you spawn in the town of Westover on Westover Islands, the most actively updated map in the game and the best place to start.

  1. Pick your starter car choose one of the five free vehicles or spend Robux on the premium option; either way you keep your 100,000 starting credits.
  2. Follow the green arrows when you spawn, a beam of green arrows guides you to the spawn pad where you press E to bring up the vehicle menu.
  3. Open the dealership hit the DEALERSHIP button in that menu to browse cars you can work toward buying; hit MY CARS to pull up what you already own.
  4. Start driving credits accumulate automatically for every mile you travel, so just getting on the road is enough to make progress.
  5. Check the minimap use the minimap button on the HUD to pin locations and navigate; major spots are marked with a black square icon.
  6. Claim daily rewards each time you log in you are offered a daily reward, so check that popup before you drive off.

How credits work and how to earn them faster

Summary
In short Credits come from driving, racing, job tasks, and redeeming codes — stacking several of these at once is the fastest way to build your balance.

Every mile you drive pays out credits automatically. On top of driving, races pay out credits for finishing, jobs add revenue from completed tasks, and a few bonuses stack on top of the base rate.

  • Base driving credits per mile, tracked and saved automatically as you go.
  • VIP subscription adds 30% extra credits on every mile driven.
  • UDU group membership joining the group gives a free 10% credit bonus.
  • Playing with friends up to 15% extra credits when driving with others on the same server.
  • Races compete head-to-head for credits.
  • Promo codes redeeming valid codes from the shop adds free credits instantly with no driving required.
03

Redeeming promo codes

Step
In short Codes are redeemed through the shop menu and can add thousands of free credits or unlock vehicle skins without spending Robux.

Codes were added on February 28, 2020. The code interface sits in the shop menu, accessed through the dollar-sign icon on the left side of the screen. After the shop GUI was updated on September 18, 2020, the codes button moved to the bottom-right corner of that menu. Enter a code in the text box and hit redeem. One thing to note: codes that award a vehicle skin do not display the skin preview inside the code GUI — close the shop menu after redeeming to actually see what you received.

  1. Open the shop tap the dollar-sign icon on the left of your screen.
  2. Find the codes button it sits near the bottom-right corner of the shop GUI.
  3. Hit redeem credits are added immediately; skins appear after you close the shop menu.
04

Jobs available and what they involve

Check
In short Switching to a job team adds a second income stream on top of your driving credits and opens up role-play that plain driving does not.

The Jobs button on the HUD lets you switch away from the default Citizen role. There are six job options in total, each with its own tasks and features. The Trucker and Transit teams also use a skill-point system alongside credits, meaning some vehicles on those teams are unlocked by grinding skill points rather than just buying them outright — though you can bypass that grind with Robux.

  • Citizen the default; no job tasks, just drive and earn credits per mile.
  • Police Officer arrest criminals to earn; both cuffing and shooting count toward arrest totals, and accruing too much bounty while on the team will get you kicked off it.
  • Trucker complete trucking runs; skill points earned here unlock team-specific vehicles.
  • Transit drive buses; the code SCHOOLISCOOL awards 40 Transit skill points rather than standard credits, which is worth knowing if you are grinding this team.
05

Racing — how to enter and what you get

Tips
In short Races are one of the best credit-per-minute activities, and wins in multi-player races also count toward two permanent badges.

The game only counts a race win toward your badge progress if there is more than one participant, so empty-lobby runs do not help.

Tips worth knowing
  • Only races with at least two participants count toward the win badges.
  • Winning your first qualifying race unlocks the Novice Driver badge.
  • Reaching 100 wins in qualifying races unlocks the FIA License Approved badge.
06

Driving milestones worth chasing

Table
In short The game tracks your total distance driven and awards a badge at each milestone, giving you a clear long-term goal ladder to climb.

These are the seven distance badges, from the first 10 miles to the full million. Each one is permanent proof of how far you have gone.

Beach Trip100 milesGetting somewhere

07

The donation system

Warn
In short Donations are capped and restricted on purpose — going against the rules around them can result in a ban.

You can send credits to other players through the donate icon on the HUD. A popup lets you select a player and enter an amount. There is a five-minute cooldown between each donation you make to a player.

Worth watching out for
You must have at least 10,000 credits to donate, and your balance after donating cannot fall below 10,000 credits.
The maximum single donation is 1,000 credits, and you cannot send more than 35% of your balance at once.
The minimum donation is 5 credits.
Asking, begging, or bribing other players for donations breaks official UDU rules and can get you kicked or banned.
Do not attempt to exploit the donation system the development team bans players who do.

The Unit 666 easter egg

Tips
In short If your police car or transit vehicle spawns with fleet number 666, something unusual happens to its lights — it is rare, but keep an eye out.

Fleet numbers are assigned randomly to marked police vehicles, transit buses, and the Grumman LLV mail van. On rare occasions the number 666 is assigned, and when it is, the headlights and indicator bulbs on that vehicle turn red. On buses, the front and rear route displays also turn red. The vehicle still drives normally — it is just a visual oddity.

Tips worth knowing
  • Only vehicles that display fleet numbers can trigger this — plain civilian cars are not involved.
  • The effect is only visual; the car handles exactly the same as any other.
  • If you see 665 or 667 on your vehicle, you just missed it — 666 is genuinely rare.
  • On older versions the effect was more dramatic; the current mesh-body vehicles show only the light color change.

Common questions

FAQ

I keep running out of gas. What do I do?

Running out of fuel is tracked by the game and even has its own badge called Stranded. Make sure you stop at gas stations before your tank empties.

Which map should I play on first?

Westover Islands is the best starting point. It is the most visited map and receives the most consistent updates, so it has the most content and the fewest missing features. Other maps exist but some are on older versions of the game's systems.

Do race wins count if I race alone?

No. The game only awards progress toward the racing badges for wins in races where more than one player is participating. Solo runs through a race course do not count, so you need at least one other racer in the session.

Is there any way to get free credits without driving?

Redeeming promo codes through the shop menu is one way to add credits without driving. New players start with 100,000 credits, and valid codes can add more on top of that immediately after you enter them.
