Getting started in the open world
StepWhen you first load in, you are placed near a starting area surrounded by lower-difficulty enemies. Clearing these gives you experience that slowly raises your level. Once your level has ticked up a couple of times, you will handle tougher areas much more safely.
- Pick a nearby enemy fight something close to spawn so you can fall back easily if things go wrong.
- Watch your level display check where on screen your level and experience bar appear so you always know how close the next level is.
- Find your health recovery figure out how you restore health after a fight before you need it in an emergency.
- Gain a level or two first only then start pushing toward the edges of the starting zone.
Combat approach that keeps you alive
TipsBloodlines rewards you for reading enemy behavior. Every enemy has a moment just after its attack lands where it is open for a counter. Learning to spot that opening is a valuable habit to build. Getting overwhelmed by multiple enemies at once is the fastest way to lose progress.
- Keep your distance at the start of every fight so you can see what the enemy does before committing.
- Watch the enemy's movements for the tell that an attack is coming, then move away before it lands.
- Strike once or twice after the enemy's attack finishes, then back off again rather than going all-in.
- Glance around before engaging to make sure you are not pulling extra enemies into the same fight.
- If your health is dropping fast, leave the area entirely — retreating is always better than dying.
Exploration and why it pays off
CheckExploration is a core part of how Bloodlines is designed to be experienced. New areas mean new enemies and fresh experience, and old areas are worth revisiting because enemies respawn there. Some terrain that looks impassable — cliffs, walls — can actually be jumped over. Keeping a loose mental note of where area entrances are saves a lot of backtracking later.
- Walk to the edges of each area before moving on, so you do not miss enemies or entrances.
- Return to earlier areas after some time respawned enemies mean more experience for little extra effort.
- Test walls and ledges that look solid, because some can be crossed with a jump.
- Remember where you found entrances to new zones so you can navigate back without wandering.
What to do when you are stuck
WarnThe design lets you go back to easier zones, gain a few levels, and then return. Getting better at dodging also matters — even a small improvement in how you read enemy attacks can make a previously impossible fight more manageable.
Playing at your own pace
SummaryThe game does not push you down a single path, which means you get to decide whether to grind the same zone until your level is comfortable or to explore and see what is out there. The game is also playable without spending anything — leveling and exploration do not require purchases.

Common questions
FAQWhy do I keep dying to the same enemy?
The most common reason is that your level is too low for that enemy. Move to an easier area, earn a few more levels, then return. Improving your dodge timing also makes a difference.
Can I play Bloodlines without spending Robux?
Yes — leveling up and exploring the map do not require any purchases. The game is designed so that grinding enemies and discovering new areas is enough to keep progressing.
Where do I find the latest codes and update news?
The game's own page links to an official server where update information and any code releases are posted.
The map is huge and I keep getting lost — what helps?
Make a mental note of where you found each area entrance the first time you spotted it. When you revisit old zones to hunt respawned enemies, you will naturally reinforce that knowledge until the layout feels familiar.
