How items work and where they come from

Summary
In short Items spawn on a timer with a random chance, and using the right item on the right Stand or Spec triggers an evolution.

Every item in the game spawns on a set interval and only appears if a random roll succeeds. The rarer the item, the longer the wait and the worse the odds. During multiplier events — 2x, 3x, or 4x — both the interval and the spawn timer shrink, so items show up much faster. Most items in your inventory can be used on a specific Stand or Spec to evolve it into something new.

  • Arrow spawns every 1 minute, guaranteed
  • Requiem Arrow spawns every 5 minutes, 1 in 4 chance
  • Frog spawns roughly every 5 minutes, 1 in 3 chance
  • Hell Arrow spawns every 30 minutes, 1 in 10 chance
  • Dio's Skull spawns every hour, 1 in 100 chance
  • Ticket purchased from Tim's Bizarre Shop for 12,000

Farming rare items

Step
In short Using your free private server and letting the game run while you do other things is the most reliable way to collect rare items.

Every player gets a free private server in Stands Awakening. Items other than Arrows, Rokakaka Fruits, and Banknotes do not despawn, so anything that lands on the map stays there until you pick it up.

  1. Open your private server it costs nothing.
  2. Stay connected place something on your spacebar to keep your character jumping so the game does not disconnect you for inactivity.
  3. Do something else while you wait practice combos, collect Arrows, or run quests; the rare item you are waiting on will still be there.
  4. Listen for audio cues the Ice Shard plays a cracking-ice sound across the entire server when it spawns, so you will hear it without watching the screen.
  5. Walk the map periodically since items do not despawn, a single sweep of the map is enough to collect everything that has landed.
  6. Decide what to do with what you find you can use a rare item immediately to evolve a Stand, or store it in your item bank to trade later.

Playing Shadow The World in PvP

Tips

Shadow The World has strong damage output and good mobility, but it has among the lowest durability in the game. Its Time Stop lasts only two seconds. Its block reduces incoming damage by 75 percent.

Tips worth knowing
  • Block frequently — your 75% damage reduction is one of your best defenses given your low health pool.
  • Use Time Stop to close distance, then follow with Knife Wall and a combo rather than relying on it to do all the work alone.
  • To bait out a Return to Zero, throw an attack deliberately wide — if the opponent wastes their counter, finish them with a combo.
  • Avoid spamming E and R together; combos like R into E, or E into V into R, deal far more total damage.
  • Do not rely on your counter against Over Heaven stands, Gold Experience Requiem variants, or projectiles, as these bypass it.
  • Blood Suck heals 30 HP — use it when you have a moment of safety, but know it is punishable if mistimed.

Stands worth knowing for combat

Table
In short Several Stands have standout traits that define how you should play or fight against them.

The game's community considers a handful of Stands and Specs especially notable in PvP. Each has a defining strength and at least one real weakness to keep in mind.

Ultimate Life Formstrong at all ranges; deals 33 damage per DoT punch, but still demands skill to use well
The World Over Heaven250 HP, 90% block defense, 10-second Time Stop, and a 50 HP self-or-teammate heal
King Crimson RequiemR, Y, and H each deal 50 damage, but its block only absorbs 25% of incoming hits
Sticky Fingersits Z move deals 25 damage and ragdolls enemies, enabling easy combos with low-cooldown follow-ups
Dio's The World / OVA6-second stand-jump cooldown, near-zero cooldown on several moves, and high A-tier durability
Oniauto-combo on R handles much of the work, but comes with very low health

Trading vocabulary

Tips
In short Knowing the shorthand other players use lets you trade without confusion.

The trading scene in Stands Awakening has its own set of abbreviations. You will see these in chat constantly, so it helps to know them before you try to make a deal.

Tips worth knowing
  • LF means the player is Looking For a specific Stand or item.
  • NLF means Not Looking For — they will not accept whatever you are offering.
  • NTY means No Thank You — a polite decline.
  • NGF means Not Going First — that player will not send their side of the trade before you send yours.
  • W/F/L stands for Win, Fair, Loss — players use it to ask the community whether a trade benefits them, is balanced, or is a bad deal.
  • Overpriced means someone is asking for more in a trade than the item is worth; Underpriced means the opposite.
07

Badges in the game

Check
In short There are three badges, and only one is tied to a specific in-game action you can target.

Stands Awakening currently has three badges. One is earned by completing a specific boss fight, and the other two are awarded at random by the game's owner.

  • Penumbra defeat the 2022 Halloween boss, Mr. Incredible, to earn this one
  • Watching and Dreaming awarded randomly by the owner, Rachael; you cannot target it directly
  • grounded also awarded randomly by Rachael
08

Items you can no longer get

Warn
In short Several items and Stands have been permanently removed or locked to admins — do not waste effort chasing them.

Some items that used to exist are now completely gone from the game, and others can only be obtained through trading with someone who already owns one.

Worth watching out for
Solar Diary, Valentine's Diary, and Reimu Fumo can only be given by an admin they are not obtainable through normal play
Party Hat, Pumpkin, and the three Presents were limited-time event items and are no longer available from any in-game source
Star and Jotaro's Hat were deleted entirely alongside their associated Stands they cannot be obtained even from admins

An item that resets your Stand back to Standless.

In-game storage where you can keep valuable items safely instead of carrying them.
Trade-locked
A Stand or item that cannot be transferred to another player through trading.
Time Stop
A move used by certain Stands that freezes the game world for a set number of seconds.

Common questions

FAQ

Does the Ice Shard disappear from the map if I don't pick it up quickly?

No — the Ice Shard does not despawn. Once it appears on the map it stays there until a player picks it up. Arrows, Rokakaka Fruits, and Banknotes are handled differently, but the Ice Shard is not among them.

How do I know when an Ice Shard has spawned?

When an Ice Shard appears, a cracking-ice sound plays across the entire server. You do not need to be watching the screen — just listen for that sound and then go search the map.

Is the game fully playable right now?

The game has been reverted to its October 2024 state while a rewrite is in progress. Bugs are being fixed and data issues are being compensated for, but the game is running and playable in that state.

Can I use a Requiem Arrow on any Stand to get a Requiem form?

No — the Requiem Arrow only works on specific Stands. Using it on Gold Experience gives Gold Experience Requiem (90% chance) or GE;GW (10% chance), and using it on True Golden Experience gives True GER.
