About

Overview

Pit of Hell is a randomly generated downward obstacle course where your goal is to reach the altar at the very bottom of the pit without falling. Every run produces a different layout, so no two attempts are ever the same. This guide covers how to survive the descent, how to push through when you get stuck, and what the game's badges are asking you to work toward.

What happens on each run

Step
In short Every run is a single downward path from the entrance to the altar, and falling means starting over.

You start at the top of the pit and work your way down through randomly placed traps and obstacles. The altar at the deepest point is the finish line.

  1. Enter the pit you drop in at the top and the course is already different from last time.
  2. Read the path ahead look down and around before committing to each move.
  3. Avoid the traps obstacles are scattered at random, so nothing stays where you remember it.
  4. Reach the altar arriving at the deepest point counts as a win and unlocks badge progress.

Survival tips for the descent

Tips
In short Slowing down and widening your camera view prevents most falls.

Because the layout changes every run, memorizing routes does not help you. Patience and good camera control matter far more than speed.

Tips worth knowing
  • Rotate the camera to look downward so you can see what is coming before you step onto it.
  • Walk rather than run through sections you are not sure about.
  • Stop completely at any spot that looks confusing and scan all directions before moving.
03

When you are completely stuck

Check
In short If a spot seems impassable, check whether you are actually on the right path before trying the same jump again.

A randomly generated course can look like a dead end when there is actually a turn or a platform you have not spotted. Before blaming the jump, question the route.

  • Look for a route in a completely different direction walls and ledges sometimes hide the real path.
  • Try the jump from a different angle or starting position rather than repeating the same approach.
  • Reset and start a fresh run if the current course still makes no sense after all of the above.
04

Badges and long-term goals

Summary
In short Win-count badges and tier badges give you two separate tracks to chase.

Pit of Hell tracks your progress through two systems. Win badges unlock as you complete more and more runs. Tier badges measure your skill level across five stages.

  • Win milestones badges are set at 5, 10, 25, 50, 101, and 666 wins.
  • 666 wins the hardest win-count badge and the ultimate long-term target for dedicated players.
  • Tier 1 through Tier 5 five skill-based badges that mark your growth.
