Ragdoll Physics Guide: The three controls you need to know
About
OverviewRagdoll Physics [Skydiving] is a sandbox game built around a custom ragdoll engine that lets you throw your character around, float in zero gravity, and skydive from great heights. There are no goals or win conditions — the whole point is experimenting with the physics and seeing what happens. This guide covers the core controls, how to get the most out of each feature, and tips for the skydiving map.

The three controls you need to know
StepThe control guide is displayed in the top-left corner of the screen when you load in, so you can check it any time.
- Press F toggle ragdoll on and off, handing your character's joints over to the physics engine.
- Press R toggle anti-gravity on and off, making your character float up instead of falling.
- Press T switch to first-person view for a more immersive angle.
- Move with WASD and look around with the mouse as normal.
- Check the in-game control guide in the top-left if a key ever stops feeling right.
What ragdoll and anti-gravity actually do together
TipsEach feature does something interesting on its own, but the real chaos starts when you run them at the same time. Anti-gravity lifts you into the air; ragdoll then surrenders your joints to the physics engine so you spin and flail freely. The game's physics engine handles the interaction, so the outcome is always a little different.
- Try enabling ragdoll on a slope without anti-gravity and watch your character tumble down it.
- First-person view works alongside either feature, so you can experience the chaos from your character's own eyes.
- If your movement feels broken, check whether ragdoll or anti-gravity is still switched on and press the relevant key to reset it.
Getting the most out of the skydiving map
StepA recent update added this map alongside a new UI and better control while floating. Experiment with when you enable each feature during the drop.
- Enable anti-gravity turn it on to float and pause your descent so you can set up.
- Toggle ragdoll press F while floating to let your limbs go loose.
- Cut anti-gravity press R again to start falling in ragdoll state.
- Adjust mid-fall press F again at any point to snap back to a controlled pose.
Playing with others
TipsThe game supports multiplayer, so when you join a server you will already be sharing the map with other players. There is no special invite system needed — you are simply in the same space.
- Join any server and you will find other players already using ragdoll and anti-gravity.
- VR players and keyboard players share the same server with no issues.
- The slow-motion and spatial voice features mean you can hear other players as you fall past them.
VR controls
TableVR support was added in a recent update. If you have a compatible device, the experience changes substantially — you use your hands instead of keys. Without VR, every feature is still available through the standard keyboard controls covered above.
| Grabbing | pinch gesture on VR, not available as a direct equivalent on keyboard |
| Ragdoll | F key on keyboard |
| Anti-gravity | R key on keyboard |
| First-person | T key on keyboard |
Troubleshooting common issues
CheckBecause ragdoll and anti-gravity are toggles, it is easy to forget one is still active. Run through this list before assuming something is broken.
- Character is limp and you cannot walk ragdoll is still on, press F.
- Keys are not responding compare your keyboard layout against the default controls shown in the top-left guide.
Glossary
Glossary- Ragdoll

- First-person view
- A camera mode that puts you behind your character's eyes, hiding the body and increasing immersion.
- VR pinch
- The hand gesture used in VR mode to grab other players or objects in the world.
- Slow motion
- A built-in feature of the game that can slow down the action, making ragdoll movements easier to watch.
Common questions
FAQIs there a goal or something to complete?
There is no objective, finish line or score. The game is a free-form sandbox where you experiment with the ragdoll and anti-gravity systems however you like.
How does VR work if I have a headset?
Once your VR device is set up and you launch the game, the controls shift from keyboard keys to your hand controllers. Use a pinch gesture to grab players and objects around you. Players without VR can still join the same server and everything works together normally.
