Slap Battles is a chaotic PvP game where you equip gloves with unique abilities and knock other players off the arena. Every hit you land earns slaps, which unlock new gloves. This guide covers the basics of earning slaps, how gloves work, the Guide boss fight, and how to stay safe while playing.
In shortLanding hits — not finishing kills — is how you grow your collection of gloves.
Each glove has a passive effect that works automatically and an active ability you trigger with E on PC or a button on mobile. Switching between gloves you've already unlocked costs nothing, so experiment freely. You earn slaps by slapping people, and slaps unlock new gloves.
Slaps earned by landing valid hits, not by knocking players out
Passive ability always active while the glove is equipped
Active ability triggered with E on PC or the on-screen button on mobile
Cooldown the wait time before you can use the active ability again
Shift lock a PC setting that ties your character's facing direction to the camera, making it easier to strafe
In shortEach attack pattern in phase one has a clear counter — knowing them beforehand makes the fight much more manageable.
The Guide boss fight begins in phase one with the Slapstractor, which cycles through seven distinct attack types in order. Some attacks run at the same time, so you need to track multiple threats.
Replica clones appear around the arenaclear them before the pusher walls spawn or they will pile up fast
Five pusher walls cross the arenathey cannot be jumped over, so move with the gaps between them
Track missiles target random playersslap one back toward the Slapstractor to deal damage to it
Meteor shadows turn red before impactmove off them early, but be aware the smoke they leave can hide other attacks
Conveyor wind and Kraken arms happen togetherzoom your camera all the way out and use the wind to help dodge the arms
The Golem spawns in the centre and targets the nearest playerslap it five times and it will crumble and despawn

Common questions
FAQ
Do I need to knock players out to earn slaps?
No — slaps go up whenever you land a valid hit, regardless of whether the other player falls off.
Can I play without spending Robux?
Most gloves are locked behind slap counts rather than purchases, so you can build a solid collection entirely through gameplay.
Where do I find The Guide in the lobby?
Go underneath the spawn location and look for a figure in front of a tombstone with a knife in his chest. Clicking the knife earns you the court evidence badge.
How do I deal damage to the Slapstractor with Track missiles?
Let the missile get close — but not right on top of you — then back up and strafe right while turning your camera left. That puts the missile in front of your glove so you can slap it back toward the boss.
