DOORS is a Roblox horror game where you open numbered doors to push deeper into a run while surviving entities that want to stop you. Each floor has its own setting, hazards, and cast of enemies. This guide covers how to get started, what the key entities do and how to handle them, how to clear the major floors, and where to go once you have beaten the Hotel.
In shortUse the early rooms to build the habits that keep you alive everywhere else.
DOORS is built around dying and learning, which the developers say outright in the game's own description. Headphones and max graphics are recommended by the developers themselves. Every room you open, decide where you would hide before you touch the door.
Check the door number before opening itDupe poses as a labeled door with a wrong number and deals 40 damage when you open it.
Search drawers, desks, and bookshelves for items as you pass through each room.
Plan your escape route the moment a door opens, not after.
In shortEvery entity has a specific tell and a specific counter; learning the tell matters more than reacting to the attack.
Entities each have unique mechanics and their own jumpscare. Some are avoidable by reading the room before you enter; others require an instant physical response the moment their tell appears.
Rush
lights flicker and a roar approaches; get inside a closet or under a bed immediately and wait for it to pass.
Screech
whispers 'psst' in the dark; turn to face it the moment you hear it.
Seek
eyes appear on the walls in growing numbers; follow the light guidance and dodge obstacles while running.
Figure
blind but tracks footsteps; crouch constantly near it and never run.
Dupe
wears the wrong door number; opening it deals 40 damage.
Halt
displays the word TURN; reverse your direction instantly when you see it.

In shortThe two hardest rooms on the Hotel are Room 50 and Room 100, and both demand crouching and listening over speed.
Rooms 20–49 introduce Seek's chase sequence. Once you see eye imagery multiplying on the walls, the chase is starting. Room 50 is a library boss room and Room 100 is the final area of the Hotel. Both feature Figure.
Room 50 (Library)crouch the entire time; collect eight floating books, then use the safe pattern to unlock the exit.
Room 50 timingonly approach the safe when Figure's footsteps are distant.
Room 100crouch throughout, find ten batteries, then activate the breakers in the order shown on screen.

Areas to explore after the Hotel
Tips
In shortBeating the Hotel opens several additional floors and subfloors, all free to play, each with its own mechanics and enemies.
The Hotel is just one of multiple floors in DOORS. The Archives, The Stairwell, The Backdoor, The Mines, and The Outdoors each have distinct settings, items, and entities. The Modifiers system lets you adjust difficulty and entity frequency before a run begins.
Tips worth knowing
The Rooms was a hidden branch accessible near Room 60, but it has since been removed; its replacement subfloor is The Archives.
The Stairwell is a subfloor added in August 2026, with its own enemy roster including Creak and Meld.
The Backdoor is a timed route.
The Mines is a full underground floor with large areas and items exclusive to that floor.
The Outdoors is an open-air exploration subfloor with new entities.
Modifiers can be set before a run to change how the game plays, including entity spawn rates.
All of these areas are free to access without spending Robux.

Achievements worth chasing early
Check
In shortA few simple actions before your first run can net you free currency and a Revive.
DOORS has 126 achievements split across nine categories. Unlocking many of them rewards you with Doorknobs, Stardust, or Revives. A handful require no run at all.
Join the LSPLASH Roblox group to unlock the Group Member achievement and receive a free Revive.
Log in on two separate days to earn Welcome Back.
Play at least one run with a friend to earn Buddy System.
Collect all 127 progress badges to earn a star displayed next to your name in the lobby.
07
Multiplayer considerations
Warn
In shortMultiplayer makes some situations safer and others more dangerous depending on how the group coordinates.
DOORS supports one to six players in a standard run. Personal elevators can hold up to 50, but the developers do not recommend that lobby size because hiding spots are not guaranteed for everyone.
Worth watching out for
Call out each door number before anyone opens ita single player opening the wrong door triggers Dupe for the whole group.
At Room 50, wait for the whole group to gather before opening the library dooranyone left behind when it closes cannot follow.
A player who dies but is spectating when someone else finishes the Hotel still earns the floor-completion achievement.
08
Redeem codes
Summary
In shortCodes are single-use and expire, so enter them as soon as you find one.
DOORS distributes codes that reward Doorknobs, Stardust, Revives, and occasionally item skins. Codes are not case-sensitive, so typing in lowercase works the same as uppercase. Each code can only be redeemed once per account, and many carry an expiry date.
Case sensitivity codes are not case-sensitive.
Uses per account one use only; a code cannot be redeemed a second time on the same account.
Expiry many codes expire, so use them immediately after finding them.
