About

Overview

Aeronautica is an open-world flight simulator on Roblox where you earn currency by flying jobs between islands and continents, collect hidden crates for free vehicles, and work your way up through more than 800 aircraft, helicopters, and boats across 10 vehicle classes. This guide covers getting started, earning WP, hunting crates, joining or running an airline, and chasing the long-term badges that unlock exclusive aircraft.

Getting started — licenses and your first flights

Step
In short Complete training for each vehicle class to unlock it, then fly transport jobs to build up WP.

Every vehicle class is locked until you finish its training and earn the matching license. The Single Engine license is first, and completing it hands you a free Cessna 172 to get airborne immediately. Jobs are listed at airports, so you need to be parked before you can accept one. Transport jobs pay out based on distance flown and your aircraft's capacity.

  1. Complete training finish Single Engine training to earn your first license and receive the free Cessna 172.
  2. Park at an airport all job menus, purchases, and airline options are only accessible while parked.
  3. Accept a transport job pick a route to a distant airport and fly there without crashing to collect WP and money.
  4. Land and complete touch down at the destination and finish the job to receive your reward.
  5. Chain your flights transport jobs can be chained, so take a new job from the destination airport rather than flying back empty.

Job types and what each one requires

Table
In short Match the job type to your aircraft's capabilities — the dealership and hangar tooltips show which jobs each vehicle can take.

Jobs are split into several categories. Some need specialist vehicles or capabilities listed on the vehicle itself; check the tooltip when hovering over a vehicle's name in the dealership.

Job typeWhat you doVehicle needed

Crate hunting — free vehicles from hidden boxes

Tips
In short Collect a full numbered set of plane kits from crates and you can craft the matching vehicle for free.

Crates are small boxes hidden across the map. Drive or fly into one and you receive plane kits of varying rarity. Each kit belongs to a numbered set tied to a specific craftable vehicle. Complete the set and craft the vehicle in your inventory at no WP cost. The boxes currently look like white gift boxes with a red ribbon, though their appearance changes seasonally without affecting the contents.

Tips worth knowing
  • Oconia, Eisenyarsk, and parts of Kyokkou have the highest crate density; Avalon and Æsir have very few.
  • Use a small, maneuverable aircraft — large planes can clip terrain or fail to fit into tight spawn spots.
  • Single-engine planes are good for precision at slower speeds; jets with afterburners sweep wide areas quickly.
  • VTOLs can hover and sprint, making them more versatile than helicopters for reaching awkward spots.
  • Fly a transport job along your intended route instead of free flight — you earn WP on the way and still collect crates.
04

Vehicles to avoid for crate hunting

Warn
In short Ground vehicles and boats will cost you time and miss most crate locations entirely.

Not every vehicle can reach every crate. Many spawns are on rooftops, mountainsides, or in narrow gaps that only small aircraft can enter.

Worth watching out for
Ground vehicles cannot reach crates on elevated surfaces like buildings or mountains, and most are too slow to be practical.
Boats are blocked from land-based crates the majority of crates — and are also too slow for efficient hunting.
Large airliners risk collision with terrain or buildings near tight crate locations.
Seaplanes are only useful for crates near water, such as those under bridges, and have little value elsewhere.
05

Creating and running a player airline

Step
In short Joining or founding an airline gives a 1.1x job reward multiplier and a custom chat callsign, but costs 300,000 WP to create.

Founding an airline requires 300,000 WP and must be done while parked at an airport. Editing the airline name, callsign, or colors also requires holding at least 300,000 WP at the time of the change. Members are organized into three ranks: Pilot, Recruiter, and Owner. The multiplier and airline callsign only appear when you are flying in your airline's livery colors.

  1. Park at an airport open the Profile menu, select Airline, and fill in a name (4–20 characters) and a callsign (2–14 characters).
  2. Choose colors set primary, secondary, and tertiary colors; these become the airline livery your members can apply.
  3. Invite members click a player's name in the player list and select Invite to Airline; the target must hold at least a Single Engine license and must not already be in an airline.
  4. Promote carefully Pilots have no permissions over others; Recruiters can invite new members; only the Owner can promote, demote, fire, or transfer ownership.
  5. Apply the livery use Repaint in the Maintenance section, select Airline Colors, and purchase the set to activate the 1.1x reward multiplier.
  6. Note on ownership transfer there is no cooldown, so decide before transferring; the previous owner immediately loses control.

Badges that reward exclusive aircraft

Summary
In short Four achievement badges hand out vehicles that cannot be bought or traded, so they are long-term goals worth knowing about.

Most badges are recognition only, but four grant aircraft labeled as legendary, meaning they are untradeable and otherwise unobtainable. Three of them reward total flight hours, so every hour you log counts toward multiple milestones at once.

  • Circumnavigation fly 40,075 km total distance to unlock the Flying House airship.
  • Proficient Pilot log 100 total flight hours to unlock the Z.O.M.G airship.
  • Captain log 500 total flight hours to unlock the LZ-133 Spirit of Adventure airship.
  • Supersonic Transport Mastery log 160 flight hours specifically in supersonic transport aircraft to unlock the Carreidas 160 and Carreidas 160F.

Common questions

FAQ

How do I unlock new types of aircraft?

Complete the training course for each vehicle class to earn the corresponding license. Classes include Single Engine, Multi Engine, Jet, Supersonic Transport, Helicopter, Airship, VTOL, and Boat. Each completed training also makes you eligible for the matching badge.

How much WP do I need to start an airline?

You need at least 300,000 WP to create an airline, and you must be parked at an airport when you do it. Changing the airline's name, callsign, or colors later also requires holding 300,000 WP at that moment.

Can I get vehicles without spending WP?

Yes. Collecting a complete numbered set of plane kits from crates lets you craft the matching vehicle for free in your inventory. Certain badges also award exclusive vehicles that cannot be obtained any other way.

Do I need a certain rank to invite players to my airline?

Yes. Only Recruiters and Owners can send invitations. The player you invite must already hold a Single Engine license and must not currently belong to another airline.
