Getting into a match
StepWhen you join the game you land in the lobby. The game assigns you to either the red team or the blue team automatically. Once a match starts, your plane appears in the sky and you are ready to fight.
- Wait in the lobby the game handles team assignment for you.
- Check your team color red or blue tells you who to shoot at.
- Look for your plane on screen when it appears, the match has begun.
Basic controls and combat
TipsYou fly your plane with a mouse or gamepad and shoot with the weapon button. When your plane takes enough damage it gets shot down, but a new one spawns after about two minutes, so you can keep trying.
- Use your mouse or gamepad to steer — the plane responds freely in any direction.
- Press the weapon button to fire at enemy planes once you have them in your sights.
What to check when you keep dying
CheckIf enemy planes are shooting you down repeatedly, run through this list before your next spawn.
- Are you scanning the full screen? Enemies you spot first are enemies you can shoot first.
- Are you flying straight? A straight path is easy to track weave up, down, and sideways.
- Are you changing altitude? Staying at one height makes you predictable.
- Are you flying into crowds? Areas with lots of enemy planes are dangerous to enter alone.
Respawn and spectate time
SummaryEvery time your plane is shot down, a new one appears after exactly 120 seconds. While you wait, the game puts you in spectator mode so you can watch teammates fight.
- Respawn time 120 seconds (two minutes) after being shot down.
- Spectator mode active automatically while you wait to respawn.
Winning more fights
TipsThe habits below give you a real edge.
- Stay near at least one teammate — attacking together makes each fight much easier than going alone.
- Avoid spots where several enemies are grouped — find a fight you can actually win.
- Check behind you regularly — enemies that sneak up from behind are the hardest to deal with.
- Use altitude changes to stay harder to track — mix high and low flight paths throughout a match.
