First steps when you join
Step
When you first join, six ingredients are already sitting on your Ingredient Table at no cost: Giraffe Hoof, Rotten Sandwich, Pool Noodle, Fairy, Brain, and Giant's Ear. You do not need to do anything to unlock them. Start experimenting with these before you worry about finding rarer ones.
- Check your Ingredient Table confirm which of the six starter ingredients are already there and ready to use.
- Toss one ingredient in drop a single starter ingredient into the cauldron and brew it to see a basic potion effect.
- Drink the potion pick it up and drink it to watch what it does to your character.
- Try a two-ingredient mix combine two starters, such as Fairy and Giant's Ear, and compare the result to the single-ingredient version.
How brewing actually works
Tips
Every ingredient can be used alone or mixed with others. Putting the same ingredient in multiple times strengthens that potion's effect rather than creating a new one. Different combinations produce entirely different results, so the same ingredient can show up in dozens of recipes.
- Adding more of the same ingredient to a brew makes that potion's effect stronger.
- The Fairy on its own makes a Tiny Potion, but pair it with Chameleon and you get a Shrink Ray Potion instead.
Turning yourself into an ingredient
Step
You can brew yourself as an ingredient, which unlocks a large set of potions that cannot be made any other way. The ingredient gets named after your display name once it lands in the cauldron.
- Brew a Shrink Ray Potion combine Chameleon and Fairy to make it, or use at least three Fairy ingredients to brew a Shrink Potion.
- Drink the shrink potion your character will shrink until you are small enough to fit inside the cauldron.
- Jump into the cauldron walk into it while you are tiny; your character will die as part of the process.
- Respawn and check the cauldron when you come back, you will find yourself listed as an ingredient inside it.
- Use yourself in a recipe for example, combining the You ingredient with Chameleon makes a Doppelganger Potion, and combining it with Spider makes a Spiderman Potion.
Unlocking ingredients through quests
Check
Many ingredients cannot be picked up freely — they are locked behind in-game quests. The map has been updated to make room for new quests and ingredients.
- Completing the Bee Quest unlocks the Honey ingredient.
- Helping all the Goblins unlocks the Frog ingredient.
- Finish Glinda's quest to unlock the Witches Brew ingredient.
- Completing the Volcano event and killing the Bean Titan leads to the Eggcano ingredient.
Save slots and keeping your best recipes
Summary
Once you have discovered recipes you want to reuse, save slots keep them ready without having to remember every combination. You can also rename saved potions to make them easier to identify.
Potion discovery badges
SummaryBadges are awarded automatically as you hit discovery milestones. They appear in the game's badge section. Quest completions also award their own badges separately from the discovery count.

Common questions
FAQHow do I make my potions stronger?
Add more of the same ingredient to the cauldron before brewing. Increasing the quantity of a single ingredient strengthens that potion's effect.
Do I need to spend Robux to enjoy the game?
No. All six starter ingredients and the full set of freebie ingredients are available without spending anything. Quests also reward ingredients for free. Legacy and Premium ingredients exist, but the core brewing and discovery experience does not require them.
How do I use myself as an ingredient?
Brew either a Shrink Ray Potion (Chameleon plus Fairy) or a Shrink Potion made with at least three Fairy ingredients, then drink it. Once you are small enough, jump into your cauldron. After you respawn, your character will appear as an ingredient inside it, ready to be used in a recipe.
How do I get more save slots without buying them?
Reach levels 14, 24, 34, and 39 in the spell book and you will receive a save slot at each of those levels for free. Purchasing additional slots from the shop costs 45 Gems each.
