Getting started in the game

Step
In short The first thing to do is pick a car and spend some time just driving around to get comfortable with the controls.

When you first load in, several cars are already available to you at no cost. Pick one that looks appealing and take it out onto the Indonesian map. Spend your early time learning the basic controls — accelerating, braking, and steering — before worrying about anything else. Bringing a friend along from the start makes the learning curve a lot easier.

  1. Pick your first car choose based on looks or feel, since multiple cars are available from the start.
  2. Learn the controls practice accelerating, slowing down, and turning before heading anywhere specific.
  3. Explore the map drive around Indonesia freely to get a sense of the layout and the game's world.
  4. Join the official CDID group use the social link on the game page so you catch event announcements and code drops early.
  5. Invite a friend multiplayer works right away, so there is no reason to explore alone if you do not want to.

Things to aim for once you are comfortable

Check
In short Collecting cars, joining events, trying the Barista Job in Jakarta, and doing roleplay with friends are the main ways players keep the game interesting long-term.

CDID is an open-ended game, so it helps to give yourself goals. Building out your car collection is one of the most satisfying long-term activities. Limited-time events add special content throughout the year, so keeping an eye on when they run means you will not miss anything. The Bandalam seasonal map and the Barista Job in Jakarta are both worth seeking out once you know the basics.

  • Check whether an event is currently running the game holds seasonal events for Halloween, Christmas, Ramadan, Independence Day, Chinese New Year, and more.
  • Visit Jakarta and try the Barista Job it is a job experience available on the Jakarta map only, reworked in V2.7.5.
  • Explore the Bandalam seasonal map, which was added in V2.7.5 as a new area.
  • Explore the Bandung standalone map, which is a separate area with its own layout and events.
  • Hunt for Easter eggs hidden around the maps finding them can earn you badges.
  • Try roleplay sessions with friends by agreeing on a scenario before you start driving.

How events work and what badges are available

Tips
In short Events run throughout the year on a seasonal calendar, and completing them earns you badges and prizes.

CDID runs events tied to real-world occasions and game milestones. Many of them repeat on a yearly calendar, so if you missed one, there is a good chance it will return. The 2024 Halloween Event is particularly notable because it has two separate endings — a Good Ending and a Bad Ending — each with its own badge. Codes are distributed through the official group and sometimes through in-game event information; enter any code you receive promptly, because codes can expire.

Tips worth knowing
  • Halloween, Christmas, Ramadan, Independence Day, and Chinese New Year events all recur annually — check the official group to know when each one starts.
  • The Halloween Event has two outcomes: a Good Ending badge and a Bad Ending badge, each collectible.
  • Ramadan events have awarded a car as a prize in past years.
  • Quest-style events like the November Quest require you to finish specific tasks before you can claim the prize.
  • Join the official CDID group through the game page's social link to get event news and codes as soon as they go live.
  • Check the current event when you log in — limited content disappears when the event period ends.

06

What to check when something goes wrong

Warn
In short Most problems in CDID trace back to a server update or a bug, both of which the official group can help you with.

The game shuts down temporarily when the developers push a server fix or update. Bugs can also appear, especially after a large update. Reporting them helps the developers fix things faster.

Worth watching out for
If the game will not load, check the official CDID group a shutdown message there means a server update is in progress.
If you find a bug, report it through the social link on the game page so the development team can track it.
Make sure your internet connection is stable before assuming the problem is on the game's end.
If you cannot find the Barista Job, make sure you are on the Jakarta map it is not available anywhere else.
