Progress milestones and what to aim for

- Take your first step the First Waddle badge unlocks the moment you begin moving.
- Reach Level 10 completing it earns the Baby Steps badge.
- Reach Level 25 the Big Strides badge marks this point.
- Reach Level 50 Giant Strides is awarded here.
- Finish each course expansion a Pioneer badge (I through IV) awaits at the end of every expansion, with the later ones covering icy, slippery terrain.
Getting past moving platforms, lava, and spinners
TipsBecause you cannot jump, you have to read what is ahead of you and time each foot placement precisely.
- With spinners, identify the gap in the rotation and step through it one foot at a time during that window.
- The ice areas in the third and fourth course expansions are more slippery than earlier terrain.
- Each death is recorded in your stats but carries no other penalty.
Your four tracked stats
SummaryNone of these stats lock you out of anything or cause a penalty. They exist so you can measure your own improvement over time.
- Time how long you have kept going in a session
- Steps the total number of foot placements across the whole course
- Deaths how many times you have fallen or been hit by an obstacle
- Skips how many stages you chose to skip rather than complete
Pioneer badges and what they require
CheckThere are four Pioneer badges in total, one for each wave of content added to the game. Earning all four means you have reached the furthest point the course currently extends to.
- Pioneer I reach the end of the first released course
- Pioneer II reach the end of the second course expansion
- Pioneer III reach the end of the third expansion, which introduces colder and more slippery terrain
- Pioneer IV reach the end of the fourth expansion, described as an ice-drifting challenge
