Controls you need before your first game
Check
In short
Learn these inputs before you spawn so you are not scrambling in the middle of a fight or a swim.
Movement, combat, eating, and attitude are all handled by a small set of keys and mouse clicks. Swimming controls are separate from land movement, so make sure you know Q and E before heading near water.
- Click to land an AOE attack on nearby targets
- Left-click on food or water to eat or drink
- Press E to swim up and Q to swim down
- Hold Left Shift while moving to sprint
- Press T to sniff, R for aggressive, G for neutral, C for passive

Picking your first creature

Start with a creature whose playstyle matches what you want to do, and check the unlock conditions in-game as you progress.
The game has more than thirty creatures to choose from, split across land, sea, and air. Your first pick does not have to be perfect — getting comfortable with the controls matters more early on.

Switching your attitude mode is the fastest way to signal to other players whether you want to fight or cooperate.
Your attitude is set with three keys and changes how other players see and react to you.

Glossary
Glossary- AOE attack
- An area-of-effect attack triggered by clicking that hits multiple targets in the surrounding area at once.
- Passive mode
- A non-aggressive stance activated with C.
- Unlock
- Meeting a specific in-game condition that gives you permanent access to a new creature.
- Pass
- An optional purchase that unlocks certain creatures, such as Operator Human, which are not available through normal play.
