Squad arrangements for different jobs

Table
In short Picking the right three soldiers for the task at hand makes a bigger difference than just stacking the strongest ones.

Your squad holds a maximum of three soldiers, or four if you have the Extra Soldier Gamepass. Each soldier has a specific role, and mixing the wrong ones together wastes their strengths. The three main jobs you will run squads for are raiding, fighting vehicles, and surviving an open-ground clan war.

Raiding squadHacker, Vault Raider, and Medic. The Hacker disables base defences to speed up entry, the Vault Raider loots safes ten times faster than any other soldier, and the Medic keeps the team alive.
No-Hacker raiding squadVault Raider, Heavy Gunner or Juggernaut, and Medic. The Juggernaut holds off the base owner while the Vault Raider works.
Anti-vehicle squadthree Juggernauts, or one Juggernaut plus an Anti-Tank Soldier and an Anti-Air Soldier. Add a Medic in place of one Juggernaut if you need more staying power.
Clan war survival squadBlackhawk Trooper, Medic, and Heavy Gunner. The Blackhawk Trooper revives fallen soldiers at the front, the Medic heals the living, and the Heavy Gunner suppresses enemies.
Long-range squadone or two Snipers supported by a Medic.

Naval combat tactics

Tips
In short Matching your ship's strengths to the right strategy is what wins naval fights.

Naval battles reward picking the right tactic for the ship you are in. Submarines, large battleships, and missile-equipped vessels all work in different ways, and using the wrong approach with any of them puts you at a disadvantage. If you are on a low-end device, switching to an air vehicle is smarter than fighting from sea, because weaker hardware limits how far you can see.

Tips worth knowing
  • Use submarines to attack large, slow ships like the Battleship, the Yamato, and the North Carolina with torpedoes — then move position immediately after each attack.
  • If an enemy spots your submarine, dive and relocate rather than trading fire.
  • Large warships like the Yamato and the North Carolina can destroy almost any vehicle in under a minute using their main cannons and AA guns combined — move slowly and set up a surprise attack.
  • When firing at an enemy ship, aim at the cabin rather than the hull to have a chance of killing the player directly.
  • On a low-end device, swap to an air vehicle instead of a naval one — you will be able to see enemies at a proper range.

Blackhawk Trooper
A soldier who can revive a dead squad member on the battlefield without you having to return to your base.
Wolf-Pack tactic
A submarine strategy of attacking with torpedoes and immediately relocating so the enemy cannot pinpoint you.

Common questions

FAQ

How do I beat a much stronger ship in naval combat?

If you are in a submarine, use torpedoes and change position after every attack so the enemy cannot lock onto you. If you are in a missile-equipped vessel, be aware that terrain and flares can deflect your shots. On a low-end device, switch to an air vehicle entirely — limited view distance puts you at a serious disadvantage in naval fights.
