Getting started on your first match

Pick a team, grab a weapon, and get moving — everything else follows from there.
When you load in, you will be placed in a lobby where you choose Red or Blue. Once the match begins, weapons are already scattered around your spawn area, so find one before heading toward enemy territory. You can be taken out and respawn as many times as you like, so there is no reason to hang back.
- Choose a team pick Red or Blue in the lobby before the match starts.
- Grab a weapon search the ground near your spawn; weapons are available from the start.
- Learn the layout note where the tunnels, towers, and the enemy flag are before committing to a route.
- Find enemies watch for players near key areas.
- Respawn freely when you are taken out, you come back automatically, so keep pushing.

- Back up a teammate who is outnumbered rather than chasing a solo kill across the map.
- Hold key areas in groups — a single player guarding a tunnel or tower entry is easy to overwhelm.
- Push toward the team objective together; a coordinated push is harder to stop than several solo runs.

Two badges worth chasing mid-match

Buying an upgrade and launching a nuke are two mid-match goals the game tracks with their own badges.
There are four badges in the game, and two of them point to things that are easy to overlook when you are focused on shooting. Buying an upgrade from the shop and launching a nuke both have their own badges, which means both actions are worth trying at least once.
- Visit the shop and buy at least one upgrade you earn the Upgrade badge.
- Find and launch a nuke the Nuke badge is awarded when you pull it off.
- Earn the Winner badge by being on the team that wins the round.
- The Welcome badge is awarded just for playing, so it comes on its own.

FAQWhat happens when I get taken out?
You respawn automatically after a short wait. There is no limit on how many times this can happen, so keep fighting without worrying about dying.
Where do I find weapons?
Weapons are placed around the map and can be picked up by anyone. Start by checking the area near your spawn point as soon as the match begins.
Can I play with friends?
Yes — Underground War supports large groups playing together.
What is the shop for?
The shop lets you buy upgrades during a match. Purchasing at least one upgrade also unlocks the Upgrade badge.
