Getting started — your first steps in the game
Step
When you first load in, you can customize your character's look right away — you don't need anything unlocked to do that. From there, explore the campus to find shops, event spaces, and your dorm room. Your dorm is your personal space where you can place furniture and decorations. Quests, minigames, and daily activities are your main ways to earn diamonds, so get familiar with where those are early.
- Find the quest board completing quests in Campus 3 earns you Sparkly Star Achievements that unlock perks.
- Try sleeping, showering, or eating in Campus 3 these also earn Sparkly Star Achievements toward leveling up.
How leveling and diamonds work
Summary
You level up by collecting 325 EXP. In Campus 3, you earn EXP through quests, sleeping, showering, and eating. As of March 18, 2026, every player earns 1,900 diamonds per level-up — diamond multiplier gamepasses were removed in the February 17, 2026 update, so everyone gets the same amount now. Higher levels unlock access to certain realms: the Intergalactic Trading Hub requires level 75, and the In Loving Memory of Lizzy Winkle realm requires level 10. The Teachers Lounge in Campus 3's Front Office is only accessible at level 1,500 and above.

Playing Royale Archery
Step
Royale Archery is a permanent realm you can reach from the Royale World teleport map. The game only starts once at least 8 players are in the server. Between rounds there is a 35-second intermission where you can read a tutorial or choose to spectate. A GUI in the top right shows who is still active on each team, and the top-left feed tracks who dazed whom and who made saves.
- Wait for 8 players the round cannot begin until the server has enough people.
- Use the intermission read the in-game tutorial or choose to spectate.
- Shoot opponents to daze them a dazed player cannot be shot again until a teammate revives them.
- Revive your teammates pulling a dazed ally back up is just as important as shooting enemies.
- Watch the top-right GUI it tells you exactly how many opponents are still active.
- Survive sudden death if neither team is fully dazed after 3 minutes, a 1-minute sudden-death phase starts where no one can make saves; if that also ends with no winner, the round is a draw.
Outfit and dorm customization
Tips
Royale High's whole identity is built around collecting and combining dresses, accessories, hairstyles, makeup, and dorm furniture. New items arrive with every seasonal event, and the July 16, 2026 update added physics-animated hairstyles and a new dorm kick system, showing how much the customization options keep expanding. Your dorm room can hold furniture, lighting, and decorative items — you can also trade room templates with other players as of the same update.
- Check Queen Harmony's Treasure Shop and any active seasonal shop for new arrivals.
- Try the fountain in your dorm — the Dream Fountain Music Box dorm item added July 16, 2026 lets you wish from your own room.
Seasonal events — what to expect and how to prepare
CheckRoyale High runs large seasonal events — summer is currently active as Tidalglow 2026, complete with a new halo winnable at the fountain and the Castle Heart in pool summer mode. Each event brings limited-time dresses, accessories, and other items that may not return. Once the event ends, those items go away.
- Remember that the fountain can reward a new seasonal halo during events, so visiting it is worth doing.

Common questions
FAQCan I play for free without falling too far behind?
Every player now earns the same 1,900 diamonds per level-up regardless of gamepasses, since multipliers were removed in February 2026. Doing quests and Campus 3 activities daily builds your diamond count steadily.
What happens if I miss a seasonal event item?
Once a seasonal shop closes, those items are no longer available to buy directly.
How do I unlock more realms?
Most realms are open from the start, but a few have level requirements. The Intergalactic Trading Hub needs level 75, and the In Loving Memory of Lizzy Winkle realm needs level 10. Keep doing quests and Campus 3 activities to level up and unlock access.
What do I do if Royale Archery won't start?
The game requires at least 8 players in the server before a round can begin. If the round isn't starting, wait for more players to join or try switching to a busier server. You can use the intermission period to read the in-game tutorial while you wait.
