Your first steps in the forest

Step
In short Getting your level and gear up during the day is the only way to be ready when night hits.

The game puts you in a dangerous forest with weak starting gear, so the first thing you want to do is hunt nearby enemies and grab whatever they drop. Every enemy you beat hands you experience, money, and sometimes equipment. Spend that money at the shop on weapons and armor, then get back out and keep hunting.

  1. Hunt weak enemies target enemies that match your starting level so you can actually kill them without dying first.
  2. Pick up every drop enemies leave behind money and gear; never walk past it.
  3. Visit the shop spend your money on weapons or armor before the first night arrives.
  4. Level up experience from kills raises your level, which makes you tougher and lets you buy stronger equipment.
  5. Start building once you have a little gear, put up your first camp walls before dark.
  6. Use the daytime night brings the Blood Moon and much harder enemies, so do all your setup while the sun is still up.

Building a camp that actually holds

Tips
In short A well-placed camp with solid walls is the difference between surviving the night and getting overwhelmed.

Your camp is your last line of defense when enemies swarm during the Blood Moon. Choose a spot where fewer enemies roam, and focus on keeping the layout simple so you have fewer angles to defend.

Tips worth knowing
  • Pick a quiet corner of the forest where enemy traffic is low.
  • Keep the camp shape simple — fewer entrances mean fewer spots enemies can break through.
  • Gather building materials by killing enemies; the drops fund your walls and structures.
  • Build during the day so your camp is ready long before the Blood Moon starts.

Surviving the Blood Moon

Warn
In short The Blood Moon floods the forest with stronger, more numerous enemies, so preparation before it begins is everything.

Every Blood Moon night is a serious threat. The enemies that show up are far harder than the daytime ones, and there are more of them. If you are caught unprepared outside your camp, you can be surrounded in seconds.

Worth watching out for
Stock health recovery items before the Blood Moon starts, not during it.
If enemies surround you, run toward whichever direction has the fewest of them rather than trying to fight your way through.
Stay inside your camp walls and let the barriers slow the enemy advance.
Do not chase kills that drag you away from your camp during the Blood Moon.
Prioritize staying alive over gaining experience during the Blood Moon.
05

Choosing weapons and armor

Table
In short Balance offense and defense as you level up rather than sinking all your money into just one side.

The in-game shop stocks multiple weapons and pieces of armor. Weapons raise how fast you can kill enemies; armor reduces the damage you take. As your level climbs, stronger options in both categories become available.

Weaponsraise your attack power and let you kill enemies faster.
Armorreduce the damage enemies deal to you each hit.
Drop gearrare equipment that enemies leave behind can be stronger than what the shop sells at the same stage.
Early priorityarmor first.
Mid-gamealternate weapon and armor purchases to keep both stats growing together.
06

Leveling up efficiently

Tips
In short Targeting enemies just above your current strength gives you the fastest experience gains without getting you killed.

Grinding easy enemies all day keeps you safe but slows your progress. Pushing just outside your comfort zone speeds things up significantly, as long as you manage your health and retreat when you need to.

Tips worth knowing
  • Aim at enemies slightly above your current level for better experience per kill.
  • Pull enemies one at a time in crowded areas instead of letting a group mob you.
  • Head back toward safety when your health gets low — dying costs you time.
  • Save the nighttime for survival, not for trying to squeeze in extra experience runs.
07

Redeem codes and free items

Step
In short Codes are a quick way to pick up free gear and items without spending any in-game currency.

The game has a code redemption screen somewhere in its interface. Entering a valid code there gives you weapons, armor, or recovery items at no cost. Codes are single-use and some have expiration dates, so redeem them as soon as you find them. As of October 16, 2026, this site was tracking ten working codes, which it inserts automatically on the codes page.

  1. Redeem quickly some codes expire, so do not sit on them.
  2. Each code works once per account, so you cannot reuse one you have already claimed.

09

Playing without spending Robux

Check
In short Everything you need to survive and progress is available without spending real money.

Enemy drops and the in-game shop cover all the gear you need to push through the game. Free codes add extra items on top of that. Paid options exist, but they only speed things up — they do not unlock content that is otherwise unreachable.

  • Pick up every enemy drop that is your main source of free equipment.
  • Spend in-game money at the shop on weapons and armor.
  • Redeem any available codes for bonus items.

Glossary

Glossary
Blood Moon
The nighttime event when a full moon rises and far stronger, more numerous enemies attack — surviving it is your main challenge every night.
Camp
The base you build in the forest using materials dropped by enemies; walls and fences here slow enemy advances during Blood Moon attacks.
Drop
Equipment or money that an enemy leaves on the ground when killed — always collect it, as it is your primary source of free gear and currency.
Level
A number that rises as you earn experience from kills; a higher level means you take less damage and can buy or wield stronger equipment.
Shop
The in-game store where you spend money earned from enemies to buy weapons and armor.

Common questions

FAQ

What should I do the moment the game starts?

Hunt the weakest nearby enemies to earn experience and money, then pick up everything they drop. Head to the shop and spend that money on armor, then get back to hunting before night arrives.

Do I need to spend Robux to get strong?

No. Enemy drops and in-game currency from the shop can fully gear your character without any real-money spending. Free codes also hand out weapons and recovery items.

How long do I need to survive to complete the game's main goal?

The game challenges you to survive for 99 nights, and the badges show that the difficulty ramps up steadily the longer you last.
